I'm 5'10" and this desk is a tiny bit too short for me in the highest position. If you are a tall person it probably won't work for you. If I take off my shoes I can get comfortable so I give it 3 stars. Ideally, I would work with my sneakers on while standing on my anti-fatigue mat

 Ergo Desktop warned me that this model is too heavy for the computer shelf, although new iMacs are fine. So I needed to detach the iMac from its stand and attach it to a mount adapter ($29 from Apple) which then attaches to the Kangaroo. It took me about an hour, and I needed somebody else to lift the monitor into position when I was done. But it was well worth it

I requested that my employer purchase the Ergo Desktop MyMac Kangaroo for Apple computer users, when I returned to work after spine surgery, because it was impossible for me to sit for more than 20 minutes at a time without pain.  Ironically, I needed the surgery in the first place because I had spent at least 12 hours a day on the computer, in an uncomfortable chair, at a desk that was a bit too high for me, for two and a half years. Most office desks are built for an average man, at least four inches too high for an average woman. I'm a designer, and when I am intently solving a problem I stop noticing how much my back and shoulder hurt and how numb my legs get

  I knew that only thing that would make work bearable again — being able to stand for as much time as I spent sitting. So I did the research, read reviews on on CNet, The Wirecutter, PCWorld, Bloomberg, and considered a full-on standing desk, as well as the Varidesk, Ergotron, Steelcase Airtouch and the Ergo Desktop Kangaroo. I liked Ergo Desktop's attention to Mac users, the founder's backstory, the ability to slide the Kangaroo across my desk if needed, the way it lifts the computer and keyboard together, and the price. This is really the absolute best solution at this price range, including shipping, fully assembled

This sit/stand accommodation literally changed my life

 I would NOT recommend the available detachable side work surfaces, I stuck mine in a closet after a few minutes of trying it out. They slope downward and don't latch securely. That particular component is poorly engineered in my opinion.  One gripe with this company, and I guess it's a small one but it does strike me as a bad way of doing business, is that they bill the full amount to your card when you place the order and then don't ship for several weeks

 It is pretty stable even at full height, particularly with the stabilizer leg in place. I looked at a lot of other options, and while this isn't the cheapest option, it works the best for my situation (wanted something convertible, but have to work with an existing immovable desk).  The Kangaroo Pro Junior provides a big enough surface for a standard keyboard with a little room left over to the side for a mouse. Very good product, with some reservations

I've had the Kangaroo Pro Junior for about 6 weeks and quite like it. It's quick and easy to switch between the "sitting" and "standing" configurations, which is one of the issues I was most concerned about. It seems solidly built and doesn't look out of place in an office environment. If you want to try a switchable sit/stand desk setup, this is a good choice

 The one major complaint with the backrest on the mayor that our office had and it's the biggest reason why it didn't receive a top-end score for back support, is going to be the hard material when you go with the standard, tri flex option. Now it is a flexible material, it does allow you to move it's breathable because of the holes in it, but it's still gon na be hard plastic and it's not always comfortable for some people to lean up against that for extended hours. I was actually one of those people I do not like the feeling of a hard backrest design, so opting for the butterfly option before the backrest would be nice. For someone like me, someone who prefers a more padded experience, because Herman Miller will infuse a layer of fabric with the backrest to give you a softer feel than just that hard plastic design

 It also has a pretty pronounced frame, which is going to be the case with most mesh chairs, not gon na be as noticeable as like Iran, but it is still there and if you lean too far in one direction, you can feel the frame the adjustable seat. Depth in the front where it folds down does help you to avoid the front frame if it's hitting the back of your legs. So that's another step up on the Aeron, but overall it does still have a pronounced frame. That could be an issue for some people

 The mere twos arms were very well liked in our office scoring a 79 out of 100, which puts it currently in the top four for the most comfortable arms that we have tested. So what do the arms do? Well, for starters, they're four-way, adjustable height width depth and they pivot. All of the ranges, aside from the width range, which we talked about, the scope of users are going to be very generous, so you're gon na have a good height range good depth range and they also tilt in and out so you're gon na have a variety Of different positions that you can put these arms in the arm pads themselves also have a very unique shape. They are have an extreme waterfall shaped front which really allows you to get closer to your keyboard, closer to your desk, without having to adjust the arms themselves or put yourself in an awkward posture, and they do not slope so much so that you do not have Any surface area to put your arms on the pads are large and they do not start sloping until about the front third, so you still have plenty of room to put your arms and take advantage of that sloped design

 The one thing that really held back the mirror to is arm feel probably netting at top score, is going to be that arm width adjustment if they just had a wider range and got narrower. This would probably be the number one arms that we've had a chance to test. One of the biggest highlights of the mayor, too, is going to be its ergonomic adjustments. This is one of the highest-scoring chairs that we've had a chance to test in this category

Herman Miller Mirra 2 Ergonomic Chair Review

 We have also had those at work for 10+ years and they still look and feel brand new. The design is also very sleek and modern and adds an air of sophistication to any room that a cheapo chair just doesn't. I highly recommend this and any Herman Miller product, they are well worth the investment.

 The pellicle material more evenly distributes body weight and creates fewer "pressure points". I have an Aeron at work and bought this Mirra 2 for home. Comes pre-assembled which is very helpful and everything about the chair is high quality. This model has every possible adjustment so it's impossible not to find a comfortable position

Exellent and worth the investment

Am I insane? Perhaps foolish might be a better term. Is it comfortable? Yes. Is it nice looking? Yes, I think so. Is it well engineered with quality construction? Yes

First impression:  800 bucks for a desk chair?

 The arms are soft and filled with a kind of a gel and are very comfortable unlike the hard or soft plastic most other chair use. In addition to adjusting up and down, the armrests also twist inward as well as move in and out.  The material that comprises the back is very flexible. Unlike a traditional chair that usually has a hard or soft back, the Mirra's back is flexible and molds to your back

 The armrests wiggle within the in-out setting you chose even under light pressure. I would expect the mechanism to move the armrests in and out to hold the arms tighter. The arms don't always lock at the height you select, the steps for the locking mechanism need to be tighter. In addition, the armrests don't move in and out very smoothly, it takes a disproportionate amount of force to get them moving and you have a tendency to slam the armrest because of the force you use

 Overall, once the chair is adjusted to your workspace these annoyances fade and you you don't notice them as much.  Conclusion Overall, I like the Mirra. It is a great improvement over my Ikea Verksam chair. The Mirra is very comfortable and is highly adjustable

Good chair, Bad Price!

 Arm rests (padded) are very comfortable. Maybe "food that is good for you should not taste good" principle applies to chairs as well: ergonomics may have some discomfort factored in. It does not give me the feeling I feel when I sit in a comfortable arm chair and it is possible that it is not supposed to. Again, the way one is built may have a lot to do with it (I am medium height and weight)

 After reporting to Backstore, a tech person called and decided that the back part was the problem and sent me a new back (1 week). When that did not work either, I figured that the part where the back slides in had bent in transportation, so I bent that in using a wrench, shortening the distance for the screw, and that worked. The lesson: the packaging of the chair is not the best, they seem to be short in padding material, so check carefully for shipping damages.  I hope this helps

Great Chair

 This is going to be a chair that covers that 5th to 95th percentile, so it's going to fit most of the population and then one thing that i do like about this mesh seat that is very, very unique to the mirror as compared to most most mesh Seat designs is this flex front, and this acts as a seat depth adjustment, so you can adjust how far the front edge of the seat is to the back of your legs, and this is not something that you can do on the aeron chair. So this can be one major advantage that the mirror has against the air. On specifically, the mirror ii has a very unique backrest with the plastic perforated design. Here now i will say that it is plastic, it's flexible and it is breathable

 So if you want to shift and lean and stretch in the chair, it's much more conducive to that as compared to other mesh chairs like the air on that's going to have a much more rigid frame. I also do like that it has a nice natural curve. So it supports you all the way from your lower back up to the top of your shoulders, and i like the high back design as compared to the aeron, because you're not going to have the problem of a bar going across your shoulders or your upper back. That can become uncomfortable when you're stretching or moving around in the chair, i will say that the mirror too does have a pretty unique curve at the bottom of the backrest

 So you don't have to invest any time. Putting the chair together in around 3 years, the cost on the mirror 2s jumped from 959 dollars up to 1 315 for the fully loaded version, but i still feel that the mirror 2 is worth it for that price. Point you're getting a top-tier chair from a top-tier manufacturer, great adjustability and amazing policies. If we simply break it down on a per year, cost basis you're paying around a hundred dollars a month to use a really high-end chair, and i do feel you're probably going to outlast the warranty simply because of how many mira ones we see being still sold On the used furniture market, if you're looking for a head-to-head comparison of the mirror 2 against the aeron check out this video

Herman Miller Mirra 2 is CRAZY Expensive NOW

 I thought it was going to be weird and you know rigid and stuff, but i was utterly and unequivocally incorrect. Now this is a it's called like a trifex, polymer yeah. Now it's it's really comfortable. The holes on the back uh do a few things

 I would not in my would never spend that much on a chair. My brother was generous enough to buy four of these for our house and he got each chair at a unit price of 185. So that's a a savings of 900. What the get amused! I recommend looking on facebook marketplace, uh craigslist, let go you can negotiate prices down
