 The Forthewin 3 Ultra Gaming though, well that costs $810 US so a 16% markup which doesn't actually sound that bad when you put it that way but we are talking about an extra $110 US. I'd say for most of you despite how good the Forthewin 3 Ultra is it just doesn't make sense over much cheaper models like this who stuff gaming. That said it does make a lot of sense for those of you overclocking and wanting to extract the absolute most you possibly can from an RTX 3080 even if we are only talking about 30 to 40 megahertz more which amounts to basically nothing in terms of FPS performance. That 450 watt XOC bias really does make the Forthewin 3 Ultra a bit of a king on the overclocking scene and that's why it's coming in at such a steep premium

 So there you have it, EVGA's RTX 3080 Forthewin 3 Ultra Gaming. It is an RTX 3080 graphics card that kind of does it all really, well first of all looks quite impressive and it has some nice RGB effects as you saw. It certainly packs a high quality cooler that performs very well and it also has a number of really great features such as the dual bias with the optional 450 watt XOC bias and there are 9 ICX sensors that allow you to easily monitor VRM, GDDR6X and board temperatures. So that's a really nice touch

 EVGA also hasn't made the mistake of wrapping the fan shroud around the left and right sides of the card and instead has left the heatsink fully exposed here to allow for maximum airflow. Moving around to the backside of the card we find a full length aluminium backplate featuring a number of cutouts and another red detail which could be a little bit unfortunate depending on your preferences here. That said though the backplate does look great and features a number of cutouts to help aid in airflow and avoid trapping heat beneath. Then finally around the I

 Not only does it look visibly impressive with the card powered down, but when turned on it becomes a huge RGB light bar offering some really nice effects. So if you're into your RGB, this card is certainly going to appeal. There's even an EVGA backlit logo on the backside of the card. Then on the front side of the card pushing air over the heatsink are three 90mm fans embedded in a black plastic fan shroud, all of which spin in the same direction, though the centrally located fan is offset by 10mm which EVGA says increases the direct airflow area by 16%

Though seeing how this is a 3 slot card with pretty good cooling, nothing stopping you from boosting those boost clocks even higher

Why Didn't EVGA Tell Us THIS?! EVGA RTX 3080 FTW3 Ultra

 The Core P3 now comes with a 5mm thick tempered glass panel for its side, but keeps the front, top, and back open for air. You can learn more at the link in the description below. Getting into it then, the 3080 FTW3, first of all, it's about $810. It's one of the most expensive we've reviewed thus far in the 3080 family

 Throw it down. Just as a reminder, this has eight thousand seven hundred and four CUDA cores. The RTX 3080 does. It has a boost clock of eighteen hundred megahertz

 This is going to require or recommend. They recommend a seven hundred and fifty watt power supply. You can get away with a six hundred fifty watt power supply, depending on what's in your system. But I matched this in PC Power Picker with the 5950X and it said it was fine, theoretically

 And each fan on each fan blade, you can get these little the EVGA logo on that. They're pretty nice. When you go to the top right here, you're going to have this nice silver band right here. This actually glows RGB when the card is on, even though it doesn't look like it does off the bat

 You can get away with a six hundred fifty watt power supply, depending on what's in your system. But I matched this in PC Power Picker with the 5950X and it said it was fine, theoretically. So a 650 would probably work. But again, getting 750 or 850 would probably be smarter in the long run

EVGA FTW3 Ultra RTX 3080 – Unboxing & First Impressions!

 The very first thing, this thing only has 12 gigabytes. What were we talking about? EVGA, this is the FTW3 Ultra and it's probably really fast. It's basically a 3090 but with half the, oh, that's why it's 12, of course. Okay, so it's probably the same card but we only have memory chips on one side, none on the other, that, okay

 Let's see how we do for cooling here. We have this massive copper plate. That is nice to see. Now you kind of can argue whether or not you want a vapor chamber or just a copper cold plate

 Can we do this in a nice way? Yeah. Oh, that was not ideal. These peels are so hard. So it looks like that they have kind of like a through PCB design here

 But I'm kind of just making this up as I go. And aside from that, I don't really know what else we can say about this thing. This seems like a good cooler design. There's loads of fins

 I chose ASUS because of my past experience and I am using an ASUS motherboard and know there won't by any compatibility problems using a GTX 1050 Ti ASUS card. I was afraid that at this low price I was going to get a dog of a graphics card even though I don't need a fast GPU for my home computer.  This card does a fantastic job for the price.
