The Gregory Hydro 3D caught our attention for its durable and easy-to-use design. It is made from a thick, soft polymer that is pliable but strong and resistant to punctures and delamination. It utilizes a unique body-length handle that makes filling super easy in sinks and doesn't lose its position and rigidity, even when full. The screw-top lid is well built and easy to open and close, without the worry of threading it incorrectly. All components come completely apart, so it's easy to rinse out and dry, and there's also a drying hanger that we found especially useful in our kitchen. The flow rate is great, and it has a magnet to quickly adhere to a pack's chest strap &#40;if also magnetic&#41;, preventing the hose from flopping around while you're in motion. Without a zip-top, there are no rigid corners to poke into your back through a thin pack.
This is not our favorite for ultralight excursions, as it's a touch heavy at 7 ounces. Also, when empty, the rigid handle doesn't allow the user to roll it up into a small package. It's also difficult to fit a scrub brush into the body of the bladder because of the smaller lid opening. However, these minor drawbacks are us being hyper-critical. After testing many bladders over multiple years, this is the one that has impressed us the most. For those seeking a reliable bladder that can be used for most purposes, this user-friendly model is our top choice.

 The included bladder is a good one — a partial plastic frame and a handy clip keeps it from slumping when half full, the filling port is easy to open and fits ice cubes, and there are baffles in it to keep the water from sloshing around while riding. And at the hose end of the bladder, the bite valve allows a decent flow, a switch cuts off flow when needed, and a magnet holds it on the sternum strap.

I put a fair amount of time in the Endo 15 this summer and fall. At 15 liters, it’s one of the larger bike packs that Gregory makes, and it’s a size that I find works well on bigger rides where I want to bring more water, more layers, and more “just in case” type items. Gregory also makes the Endo 10, which (you guessed it) is a 10 liter version that’s essentially the same pack with a shallower main compartment.

But an all-day ride calls for a pack that can carry a lot of weight comfortably, and that’s where the Endo 15 comes in. Fully loaded down, the Endo 15 carries quite well, and if I kept everything cinched down, it did a good job of not swinging around all over the place on rowdier trails.

Gregory 3D Hydro Reservoir | Gear Review Ep. 1

This is the 2nd one of these I've bought, that have failed. Silly me. First one I used about 15 times, it sprung a leak just in the middle of the bladder when I was deep in the Grand Canyon. This new one I've used 1x before this trip when the hose tore away from the bladder, losing all my water in minutes

Totally unreliable

Seems to be made from good materials and we’ll see how it holds up. I love Gregory’s system compared to other bladder systems.

Both good packs, but kept the Citro. Mainly for trimmer size and better pockets (I prefer multiple pockets, the Manta design was more about one large central storage area). 

 Maybe the Citro was more about the multiple pockets for the volume, while the Manta was more about “one big pocket” design which made the pack need to be larger. And the better back trampoline support in the Manta may have also been a factor. Might have just made it appear larger. 

I’m not sure if they both had the same storage volume of 24 liters, but the Manta just looked bigger. It was visibly bigger just sitting next to the Citro. Maybe the Citro was more about the multiple pockets for the volume, while the Manta was more about “one big pocket” design which made the pack need to be larger. And the better back trampoline support in the Manta may have also been a factor

Excellent hydration daypack

I find the women's backpacks aren't long enough. I'm a 19" back, and it's on the high end of women's, but in the middle for a man. I have a couple women's backpacks, and they just don't fit lengthwise or my shoulders. So I decided to try a mens

 My only problem is disconnecting the chest strap buckle. It was okay, now I'm having trouble getting it to open. That is very frustrating. It doesn't buckle, it kind fits in and it's hard to open

Fits a Woman

The Citro 24 H20 comes well equipped with storage pockets, chambers, latches and pouches making it perfect to separate your gear as you see fit. Front stretch and dual side mesh pockets for quick storage; hip belt zippered pouches for access to snacks and phone on the go; padded top chamber for fragile gear and a large main pouch with a mesh zippered pocket for small item storage.  Add the bungee closure system for trekking poles or other tools and a sunglass QuickStow system on shoulder harness and you have a daypack able to handle all you gear hauling needs.

  The Gregory Pack lines are in my opinion the best at balancing compartments with lighter weight construction making them my go-to.

Finally, don't underestimate the importance of the padded hipbelts the Citro has.  Common on the larger packs, it is one thing that some companies replace with simple straps on the smaller volume packs.  Gregory Packs keeps the comfortable padded hipbelt with easy access pouches and it makes this one of the most comfortable packs you can find in this volume range.

  No added weight from multiple zippers, extra material for pockets and compartment separators.  I tend to like my packs with the ability to provide separation of gear based on my style of hiking.  The Gregory Pack lines are in my opinion the best at balancing compartments with lighter weight construction making them my go-to.

Perfect for longer day hikes!

 This is a sunglass holder for when you're hiking in and out of trees on a sunny day and the sternum strap is pretty cool, there's a magnet for the bite now. So your water is right where you need it and you can route the hose to either side from the included reservoir store your water in the three liter hydro reservoir. The thing I love about it is that it's got a 3d shape, so it fits in the pack. Well, it dries out quickly when you get home, so just use this drying hanger, and it's as easy as that for more details check out our separate video of the hydro 3d reservoir

This is the Gregory Juneau 20, so women's hydration daypack perfect for technical hikes when you need to bring water and gear for a full day. Gregory Juno H20 Women's Backpack Series

 Note: even though my Samsung S9+ with a thin case would fit inside the side pocket when the pocket is lying flat, they wouldn't fit when worn on the body due to the curved nature of the waist line.  Con: this is a major one for me. The shoulder straps are uncomfortable: the end of the padded straps and the buckles form a hard bulge that rub against my inner upper arms and side breast area, right below the armpits. I have never experienced this with other Gregory day packs before

 The back mesh support frame is superb and rare for hiking pack this size. Weight is on the heavy side but not as heavy as similarly ventilated packs of this size on the market, and once properly fitted it doesn't feel heavy at all, even when fully loaded. No zigzag compression straps on the side mesh bottle pockets which is a huge plus. On my Osprey pack I have to remove them because all they do is getting in the way

 Something about the shape/length of the padded shoulder straps didn't work out for me. They curve too much toward my armpits compared to my Osprey pack. If it's slightly forward a bit I probably wouldn't feel the bulge. I have only worn the pack indoors
