The Gregory Hydro 3D caught our attention for its durable and easy-to-use design. It is made from a thick, soft polymer that is pliable but strong and resistant to punctures and delamination. It utilizes a unique body-length handle that makes filling super easy in sinks and doesn't lose its position and rigidity, even when full. The screw-top lid is well built and easy to open and close, without the worry of threading it incorrectly. All components come completely apart, so it's easy to rinse out and dry, and there's also a drying hanger that we found especially useful in our kitchen. The flow rate is great, and it has a magnet to quickly adhere to a pack's chest strap &#40;if also magnetic&#41;, preventing the hose from flopping around while you're in motion. Without a zip-top, there are no rigid corners to poke into your back through a thin pack.
This is not our favorite for ultralight excursions, as it's a touch heavy at 7 ounces. Also, when empty, the rigid handle doesn't allow the user to roll it up into a small package. It's also difficult to fit a scrub brush into the body of the bladder because of the smaller lid opening. However, these minor drawbacks are us being hyper-critical. After testing many bladders over multiple years, this is the one that has impressed us the most. For those seeking a reliable bladder that can be used for most purposes, this user-friendly model is our top choice.

 The included bladder is a good one — a partial plastic frame and a handy clip keeps it from slumping when half full, the filling port is easy to open and fits ice cubes, and there are baffles in it to keep the water from sloshing around while riding. And at the hose end of the bladder, the bite valve allows a decent flow, a switch cuts off flow when needed, and a magnet holds it on the sternum strap.

I put a fair amount of time in the Endo 15 this summer and fall. At 15 liters, it’s one of the larger bike packs that Gregory makes, and it’s a size that I find works well on bigger rides where I want to bring more water, more layers, and more “just in case” type items. Gregory also makes the Endo 10, which (you guessed it) is a 10 liter version that’s essentially the same pack with a shallower main compartment.

But an all-day ride calls for a pack that can carry a lot of weight comfortably, and that’s where the Endo 15 comes in. Fully loaded down, the Endo 15 carries quite well, and if I kept everything cinched down, it did a good job of not swinging around all over the place on rowdier trails.

This is the 2nd one of these I've bought, that have failed. Silly me. First one I used about 15 times, it sprung a leak just in the middle of the bladder when I was deep in the Grand Canyon. This new one I've used 1x before this trip when the hose tore away from the bladder, losing all my water in minutes

Seems to be made from good materials and we’ll see how it holds up. I love Gregory’s system compared to other bladder systems.

Great backpack overall , few minor issues

 You can just simply kind of roll that back unclip it and access your hydration reservoir. So it's right in there, like I said hydro pack, built reservoir, really easy to access kind of. Has that zip closure at the top, and just as simple and sturdy it's a really nice included benefit with the Raptor pack and just having that dedicated pocket, makes it much easier to get to that piece and take care of all that business. On the front of the pack, we do have a few organizational features, so you do have space to put extra gear, whether that's additional layers tools, whatever you need for your ride or your hike

 To give you some extra airflow, it is kind of frameless, so it doesn't really have any aluminum or any real structure here. So it is very flexible and contours. Well, the Bayeux stretch, harness and hip belt are really comfortable, unlight weight and they kind of stretch to form to the user as well. So with the shoulder straps, you do have some light padding behind that airy mesh and it is perforated

 We'Ve got a stretch mesh pocket, so you can throw a light weight windbreaker in there. If you need to, if you need to put a bike lock in there, I'm sure it would fit as well really nice stretchy pocket on the front and at the bottom of this pack, you've actually got a pretty cool feature.  uh so we go inside. you see it pass really really easily. into this trap because there is a zipper on it. So that's just it

 Yes you will have a nitrition bag taste but it's not that bad, it's it's It's a little taste and you see the straw goes straight into the strap. The only thing you have to pass it through is uh, this little guy and when you're done drinking you see there is this little magnet that you can place whatever you want and it go straight there. So take it, swallow done and you can eat. Maybe not every time

My review of the Osprey Raptor 10

 The zippers themselves are good quality YKK metal (plastic teeth on the zip) although not as heavy/large as you might see on, say the sleeping bag compartment, of a larger pack. A heavy rain would wet this through and get everything in side damp but light rain isn't going to ruin anything inside.

 Mine is red with grey and black buckles. Each zipper has a plastic loop pull to make it easy to grab with gloved hands. The zippers themselves are good quality YKK metal (plastic teeth on the zip) although not as heavy/large as you might see on, say the sleeping bag compartment, of a larger pack. A heavy rain would wet this through and get everything in side damp but light rain isn't going to ruin anything inside

- Magnetic clip for the bladder hose on the chest strap which, so far, has not released except when I want it to. It holds the hose very tight to your chest so it won't snag on things but is easy to disengage even while riding. If you did snag a branch, it should release at the chest rather than tear the hose but I hope I won't be testing this theory.

- One compression strap on each side so the pack won't flop around on your back if it is only partially full. This helps to control flop when the bladder is half empty as well.

 Start at the top with the pocket that's scratch proof so you can put your camera in there, your phone and it won't be damaged during the ride. Let me move on to the large second pocket that's divided on the inside so you can keep your tools and your tubes and your nutrition all separated in there and organized. On the outside you have some easy access side zip pockets with a little key clip in here and all the way on the outside you got a little stuff pocket where you can stick your jacket during the ride or your gear as well as a place to clip your blinky light. Now Osprey has got a couple fun features that set it apart from other hydration packs on the market
