HP X34 WQHD vs Samsung Odyssey G7

I love the super boring design - it is giant black box. No frills, no weird curves. Just a black rectangle. The QHD resolution (2560×1440) at 32inch monitor gives me a 93ppi pixel density, which means my text items are perfect size for my eyesight

Some of this is probably due to the viewing angle (because the screen is so wide), but even at 6 feet away there is still some brightness fall off at either side. This aspect of the screen's performance may or may not be important to you. If it isn't, then I think you could be very happy with this monitor.

The first thing I noticed about this monitor was how awesomely wide the screen was when

I currently pair it up with a 1080p 144hz gaming laptop. For work, I'm able to put Outlook on the right and web browser on the left while I use the laptop monitor for my coding IDE. That might seem odd to some but I spend more time in Outlook and Brave than I do coding anymore in my position. Anyway, like I said the resolution didn't change from my old monitor, but the physical size difference is what made this possible

If you want a no-frills hi refresh rate IPS monitor and a flat format you really can’t do better than this monitor. I have been playing call of duty, battlefield, and other titles and they all look great and the refresh rate and freesync premium works great with my Nvidia graphics card.

As a gamer, I couldn't wait to get this monitor by HP. I have had this monitor for over a week and I am impressed! Setting up this monitor was super simple; the included directions were very helpful. Once I turned it on, I was amazed! This video quality is awesome! Everything is super clear and lifelike. No matter what time of the day it is the colors are always so clear and vibrant! The response time is absolutely incredible; it gives you such a smoother overall picture! I have had a few other gaming monitors over the past few years and this one by HP far exceeds any of them! The various settings on the monitor are easy to adjust to fit your own personal preference
