I love this monitor but somehow it keeps reseting its brightness to 60 and color mode to gaming everyday. Couldnt figure it out for the life of me, asked for an exchange and the same thing happens there as well

Been hunting for a budget WQHD monitor for some time now, and landed on the Sceptre E345B-QUT168 and HP X34 around $400 for IPS. Recently got the Gigabyte G34WQC VA panel for $300 on B&H back-order since that deal ends on April 8. (MFR# has the A model but contrast is 3000 in the specs).

I've been happy with my HP x34. Dark scenes look pretty bad because flat IPS panel but other than that it's pretty good.

I bought this monitor for web development work, photo editing, and general stuff like web browsing and email. I don't do any gaming so I can't comment on aspects that are important to that application. This monitor has so much going for it ... pretty much everything you could ask for in an ultra-wid...

Ive been looking for something similar (Cheap, IPS, High refresh rate) and the best offering seems to be the HP X34 which you can currently get for $409 here in the states (Currently on the Egg based retailer), and has recently been cheaper than that.
