 And it would just slowly like warp until it would probably eventually break in half. This middle leg keeps everything sturdy, keeps everything you know healthy and all with the desk. I'm telling you guys, if this middle leg wasn't here, this desk would snap probably within a couple months of use, maybe within a couple weeks. It wouldn't last very long, especially once you start adding a couple of monitors to the desk, a pretty heavy PC

 There's a reason why these desks are super cheap though, and that's because they're not really built out of the fanciest, almost sturdy materials out there. The materials the IKEA Linmon desks are made out of is pretty much just like a tiny, tiny thin bit of wood on the edges of the desk, and if you'd cut the whole thing open, you would reveal like a honeycomb cardboard pattern throughout the entire like actual inside of the desk. It's something that I should have done a long, long time ago. Only like £15 for the whole desk, man

 And along all the edges here, there's literally, surprisingly enough, pretty much not a single dent apart from maybe like right there. There's a tiny little dent, but this desk itself has really maintained really good condition over the last year or so that I've used it. In fact, over the last one or two years of ownership, this desk has held up extremely well. Hardly any scratches, hardly any dents, even along the edges here, everything's fine man, the desk is just in good condition after one year

IKEA LINNMON in 2020 - Still worth it?

 Today's topic of discussion is IKEA Linmon.

 I've got a brand new desk that I bought on Amazon, well not on Amazon, I bought it on IKEA.

 Because finally their delivery fees, I think might have finally dropped in the UK.

 It no longer costs like £35 for desk delivery, because that's a bit insane.

 This cost me about I think £25 in total for this desk.

 This whole desk dude with delivery, delivery was like £10.

 And we ended up paying around like £15 for the whole desk with the legs and everything.

 I've been using almost nothing but IKEA Linmon desks for my gaming setups over the past probably like 5 or 6 years.

 Ever since I pretty much built my first gaming setup, it happened to be IKEA Linmon.

 I've had little to no issues using the desks, I've tried my best to take care of them.

 They do dent really easily, that's like the main takeaway I suppose.

 But if you buy the black IKEA Linmon desk, if you get any kind of chips or dents inside of the desk,

 it's really easy to like cover them up, just get like a black sharpie.

 And I kid you not, that's what I was doing with my IKEA Linmon desk back when I had the black version of the 2 meter one.

 They're available in so many different sizes, 100x60, 120x60, 150x75 and finally 200x60 cm.

 That's the desk I have behind me right there.

 This one here I've had for just nearly one year in total right now.

 That desk, the black version of this, I owned for like four years, maybe even five years, and the desk was still going strong.

 It had a lot more dents and scratches, obviously, over the span of like four or five years of ownership.

 I could have easily gotten another one, two, maybe even three years of use out of that desk without any kind of problem, without any kind of need or even thought about replacing the desk.

 There's a reason why these desks are super cheap though, and that's because they're not really built out of the fanciest, almost sturdy materials out there.

 The materials the IKEA Linmon desks are made out of is pretty much just like a tiny, tiny thin bit of wood on the edges of the desk,

 and if you'd cut the whole thing open, you would reveal like a honeycomb cardboard pattern throughout the entire like actual inside of the desk.

 You're basically using a cardboard desk with just a thin, thin layer of wood, I'm guessing it's called like a wood veneer or something, for like the edges of the actual desk, and the rest is just cardboard.

 It's really cheap for IKEA to manufacture these desks, and of course, they can price them at really, really low price points.

 Surprisingly enough, even though these desks are very, very cheaply made, they are sturdy enough even for a triple monitor gaming setup.

 In fact, at one point, I had a quad monitor gaming setup using an IKEA Linmon desk, and it didn't break, which was actually really quite surprising.

 I was almost convinced that after like a couple months of use of having a quad monitor gaming setup on like a cheap cardboard desk,

 I was almost convinced that like there's no way this desk is not going to snap in half after a couple months,

 but surprisingly enough, the desk survived, and it didn't really even cause much damage to it.

 If my desk breaks in half, at least I'll have it on video, but let's try to mount this.

 It's pretty damn crazy. We managed to pull it off, but these IKEA Linmon desks have survived pretty much everything I've tried to throw at them so far.

 Crazy gaming setups, quad monitor, triple monitor. Right now, I'm just rocking a dual monitor setup, but the IKEA Linmon desk is holding strong, definitely.

 As for this whole area in the room, this is basically like the new networking setup in the office.

 Let me show you guys what's actually going on here. So we got the Synology NAS right here. We got a cheeky clock here that is actually RGB.

 If we press and hold that button right there, we can change the clock face. This is basically just like a pixel clock with a whole bunch of different designs,

 and one of them even has a bunch of rainbow LED lights, of course.
