The latches also pop off frequently and unexpectedly during regular use. We had no problems popping them right back on, but we'd prefer for them just to stay put. For the price - they're okay. I'll make do.  However, they aren't very sturdy, and the latches are thin rigid plastic.  One of the latches was actually broken in such a way it wouldn't attach to the lid - let alone snap shut the box

These are well made easy to open and close bins! They are the perfect size!! I organized my whole linen closet using them. I fit 2 sets of sheets in each bin. Absolutely fantastic product. Easy to give it 5 stars!
