 It'S a regulated burner and we'll get into the details of that in a little bit, and really the only difference between those three products is the pot size and associated weight. The micro mo is 0.8 liter pot and weighs just around 12 ounces. The minimo has a liter pot and weighs around 14 ounces, and the sumo has the largest pot at 1

 Unfortunately, it's a major design flaw for jetboil, i'm going to show you how you pack it the different ways and uh you can decide for yourself. If that's a deal breaker for you or if you can live with it, all right, so we'll take the stove off and we'll flip the control down we'll pop our canister off and put our canister holder on top of the lid like it was before, which is Kind of a no-brainer - i really like that feature, and now you have a choice. You can take your pot holder and your burner put them in the bag to protect the pot and the burner and put it away and we're good to go. We'Ll put the plastic on the bottom and we're back to where we were at the beginning of the video

 And if we take a look at the lid, it's got a place to drink from, as well as holes to strain pasta or something like that and a hole for a coffee press. And if you look at the flip side of the lid, you notice that it has the canister stand and if i pull this out, you'll notice that it has two ridges one to store a four ounce canister and one to store. The larger eight ounce canister, which is kind of nice. So as we take a look at the inside of the pot, we have a jet boiled bag to protect our burner and inside the bag

JETBOIL MINIMO REVIEW // Is the MiniMo the BEST Jetboil on the market?

 It was also a lot cheaper. Was going to go down to their 1 man tents but they're too small since I want to be able to keep my bag inside (and away from bugs).

Have been car camping maybe half a dozen times 15+ yrs ago and was doing it all wrong (we didn't have access to the internet resources we do now 😂). Got the urge to get over my fear of bugs (mainly spiders) and go camping again. I'm aiming to just trial car camping by myself, but would like to try out some beginner hiking trips eventually (probably with a small tour group that can show me the way). I'll only be camping in pretty mild conditions (say 25ish C down to maybe 10C at most)

..but can do some light hiking. The big front opening, air cover and decent suspension system are the selling points for me

 Now you can have no more spills and turn you gas up. As you can see, you got quite a few turns there, so you've got a lot of power control there. I think you want to turn down to a simmer. You'Ve got more flexibility there and say you want to use the supplied pot

 Right now and I say lights fading I've got to get this done right, yeah. So then I've got the lid which has got the pot sport in the top, which is brilliant. Then inside now I thought I'll actually being a little bit jammy here, because when I opened it up, I wasn't expecting this got the burner, which is great, but you've also got the pot support as well. So if you want to use like a traditional kale or a frying pan or a saucepan of your choice, you've got that option and all they do is they just open up now? I didn't know that this was included

 So that's got that kudos straight off the bat I also with the zip and the flash I've noticed. They'Ve got like a sort of fabric handle and with the common fire star, I didn't really get on well with that. In fact, I think you can actually see me struggling with it when I tried filming at breeding on the hill trying to pour it in. So I've gone for this one

 Support wishes they're just open these out, which support the phone and then oh yeah job done, [ Laughter, ], [, Music, ] 

Jetboil Minimo Review

 The canister does not fit in the cup with the other items even if you use the smallest canister. This was the biggest issue. Even looking at the instructions it has you leave out the pot stand to fit it all. Bummer

Good, but not great

 Pad is a thermarest neoair regular wide. Stove jetboil minimo. Dog has half a nemo foam pad and a ruffwear highland bag.

The single biggest issue I ran into was my sleeping bag. I have a synthetic 20°F Cats Meow womens long bag. The weight doesn't seem to be horrific but it does not pack down well at all even in compression bags.

Went back and forth trying to decide whether or not to buy this (due to the price) but I so glad I did. It has replaced all my other cook kits.

Awesome cook kit! Extremely efficient.

Has anybody used this type of canister for single burner camp stoves? My stove has long connecting tube can fit on the top of the canister. I plan on lying the can down flat. These 227g (8 oz) cans are only $4 each compared to msr canisters that are $8.

 Flipping the canister over is smooth and results in a nice boost of heat; however it seems to lose the ability to adjust the flame at this point. Simmer control is where the Vega loses compared to the MSR Windpro in my opinion. The Vega controls exactly like the Crux line of stoves which is very touchy. The MSR stoves seem to control the flame with more finesse making it easier to adjust without killing the flame

 The Vega stove is lighter and packs up smaller. Having the feet built onto the canister attachment is also very convenient (MSR has a separate plastic attachment that can be lost). I also like having a slightly longer fuel line and the more aggressive pot arms on the Vega. I will say

I recently purchased the new Optimus Vega stove and have used it twice so far. This stove is marketed to the 4-season crowd who want to use a canister style stove in very cold conditions as it allows the user to easily invert the canister. Of course it can be used in warmer weather if you so choose. This remote style stove contains a swivel at the canister attachment point which allows the canister to be turned upside down (liquid feed mode) very smoothly

Compared to a Rival

Really like the stable low profile with the wide base and the can to the side instead of under the burner. If you’ve ever, after a long hard calorie burning day, tipped over your almost ready dinner because of a high profile profile stove that mounts on top the canister, you’ll appreciate this feature. Also I like the wider burner that helps you avoid burning food to the bottom of the pot. Then add to that the option of upending the canisters so you get full burn in the coldest of weather and you’ve got a full, unmitigated five star stove

Great Price on a 5-Star Stove

 If the gas line is bent in a specific direction, it almost tips over when removing the pan. Just be aware and make sure it is on the most flat surface you can find in the outdoors and you will be fine.
