I mean come on Victorinox, you make basically everything out of quality constructed stainless steel but go cheap there? I would gladly have paid a little extra to get the magnifying glass holder made of stainless. Oh well, hope I don't break it. And (2:) The Price. Victorinox (Swiss Army Knife) Pioneer -will last a lifetime and can be passed down. It’s all metal, very classy. Not American made, Swiss made.

when i first opened the box i was happy its a beautiful knife heavy tho very heavy, after having it for a few day the tip of the knife broke off, all i was doing was cutting a box open it was a thick cardboard box, but as soon as applied a little pressure to the cut it snapped off , i know have to reshape the knife with my grinder and belt abrasive belt sharpner to give it a point again, in my opinion a 4 day old knife should not break from regular use, ka-bar is still one of my favorite knifes but not this one,

but I think the scales are going to be a problem over time no matter how you carry it.
