 The flipper has nicely done jimping for fingertip traction. All edges are radiused and finished. The handle shape is fantastic for a secure hold and the aluminum scales are roughed up slightly for a good grip. The overall size is what is for me the max comfortable pocket carry size

Bigger knives like the BM Barrage take up most of the jeans pocket. This Link is slim enough and just shorter enough to leave pocket room for keys and coins and a hand

  The 420HC steel of the Link is plenty good enough for most purposes. It requires sharpening more often than the S30V but it is a well proven blade stainless steel. I don’t generally like liner locks since you must put your finger in the blade path of travel to unlock it. Use focused attention always when closing one

  The blades of the two knives are very similar: same length, same thickness with a tapered back and point though the Link has a sharper point and slightly more belly, same length of handle and overall, both have quality scales over sturdy stainless liners, same handle thickness. But the Volli costs more than 4x the Kershaw Link.  The 420HC steel of the Link is plenty good enough for most purposes.  A qtr turn on the locking nut fixed that without loosening the blade...now it works perfectly

Very sharp with premium/super premium steel

I really like my Link and carry it most days. I used to carry my Cryo_2, but I like this better (good steel, feels good). The blade is large enough and 'beefy' enough to take everyday use. The only thing I wish was designed different is that it has a frame lock, that requires one to push it to the side (and thus putting a finger in the path of the blade) when folding

Great everyday knife. Looks good and is practical for tough jobs.

 That was easy enough to sharpen to a point however. With the Link, I found that after I deployed the blade, the lock was very strong, with no blade play. Additionally, some people have concerns about flippers deploying in their pockets and cutting their leg. Obviously caution should always be taken when you're walking a round with a sharp knife, it's not your phone and keys, it's a potential weapon

 That said, the flipping mechanism, though fast and fluid in its movements when you hit the switch, is heavy enough where I imagine it would take unusual pressure to have it deploy by accident. If you want a fast, satisfying, sharp flip knife, Kershaw makes some of my favorites.

 While I did not observe any design flaws with the lock or flipper mechanism, I imagine some factory flaws might exist. When I first go the Headgrille I was surprised to find the tip a little blunt. That was easy enough to sharpen to a point however. With the Link, I found that after I deployed the blade, the lock was very strong, with no blade play

This blade, the Link, and the other Kershaw knife I own, the Headgrille, a sadly discontinued spring assisted flipper, are really solid designs and work well when you need a blade deployed fast with one hand. The Link is smaller and lighter than the Headgrille, and that would perhaps be my only complaint here. I preferred the heavy metal body of the Headgrille, which could be used as a glass breaker in an emergency, over the Link which feels about as light as a Swiss Army Knife in your pocket. Additionally, the light weight of the Link does not equal soft, flimsy quality, as I've found with some knifes from Spyderco for instance. This knife could probably take a beating

 All the hunting knives that I have currently they're either really cheap or the blade is just completely worn out. Um that said, I got. um I went to Amazon and I went to the Victorinox section see if there was any like good hunting knives and turns out I found this one that caught my eye. um the Victorinox Hunter Pro Alux

 I don't want to poke myself with the freaking knife. Okay, so we put the point right there. It's about exactly nine inches, so opened up. it's exactly nine inches as you guys can see right there

 It has a little um, thumb hole there so you could open it, open it up with one hand and you know, quicker. But you know that makes it illegal in um, a lot of other countries. I don't think it's illegal in California though, so I'm good. And I got this red one, which I liked personally because it has, um, you know, the red coloration of like the original Victorinox knife

 They do do a red version of this - the opening hole right now. So yeah, I do really like the aluminium handle and remaining on the handle. It is really really comfortable in the hand so this is a really nice knife to squeeze your fist around. The grooves are not obscene, this just nice and gentle and just wavy rather than groove

 So you're going to look at something that's probably going to make a better knife for forcing things apart. So say a cheese cutting knife. This is going to be superior than this because this has a lot surface stick capability. In terms of slicing, you may find the Victorinox lacks compared to the spider code

 You could probably wedge and pry with this knife fairly well without worrying about the you know, large chunks being torn over blade or anything like that. So what do I you know what do you need to know about? Whatever this is the negatives that I can think: looks that most of these are sort of as objective as I can be. just things that I think of facts. So we start off with this is very heavy so it's twice the weight of the Spyderco Endura and it's not really doing a great deal more than the spider calendar

Victorinox Hunter Pro Alox -  In Depth Review

 So far it has proven to be servicable. It takes a fine edge, holds it for a decent amount of time, and is easy to sharpen with a ceramic rod. Victorinox also offers the Pro Hunter with a Damasteel blade as part of a limited edition release they did for 2020. This limited edition is retailing for $400, so I’m not sure how many of those you will see in the wild

 All the parts line up neatly, and the Hunter Pro feels well made. The bright aluminum handle and jaunty bias to the Victorinox cross give it an almost ceremonial appearance. As if this knife could be used at a coronation.

 It’s large, and I think that was necessary given how hefty the knife is. The clip’s spring tension is good, and the knife is held in place, but this is a knife that you will notice in the pocket. I’ve never been a belt and suspenders guy, but the Pro Hunter has me thinking about it. 

One nitpick is that the handle is riveted together. That’s fine for a $30 knife, but given the price tag of this model hovers around a hundo, I’d like a knife that can be disassembled and cleaned. Especially if it’s geared towards hunting.
