Kirby Sentria vs SEBO Felix

Just by picking up the Kirby it made my Dyson feel like a toy. The Kirby feels very well constructed and I’m excited to have a more quality vacuum than the DC50. I may still keep it around just because it’s a bit more maneuverable and I have the attachments with it, but I feel the Sentria will likely take over the reigns. It's a lot harder to spend this kind of money when you can get one for $200- $300, but when I get something that works as well as this, I forget about the price after a while.

I've been collection Kirby Vacuum Cleaners for 13 years. I have vintage Kirby's from the 1940's to a the new Sentria model we purchased just last month. I find the Sentria to be just as powerful suction wise as any of the Kirby Generation series model's. The Sentria is much lighter in weight, due to the fact the aluminum housing is much thinner then previous model Kirby vacuum's

Excellent upright vacuums that are far better than Dyson that few know about are Sebo and Riccar. Those machines clean like **crazy**, and last a LONG time. A Sebo Felix cleans both carpet and hard surfaces (interchangeable base), and I know folks who still use theirs after 15+ years like-new.

What I've found out is the price is very negotiable and you can get a better deal by being persistent.

The thing is big! It's shiny! It's noisy and powerful! Hell, it's made of METAL! What's not to love! Get one of these machines and we will never need another vacuum for the rest of our live! This thing will be a family heirloom! Kirby salesmen direct their pitch to the husbands. Check this thing out! It can do everything! She can shampoo the carpets, vacuum my car, clean invisible bugs out of the bed (yeah, that one is directed at her)..

Sebo Felix ROCKS compared to a canister vacuum. It literally cuts vacuuming time in half because I'm not navigating the canister around corners and furniture, the cord is SUPER long, and the combo rug/floor head is truly dual use. This is because of the amazing suction.

The salesman quoted us a $900 price but actually based his price on how much we could afford. We gave him a comfortable payment and from then on it was bang,bang, bang and we were talking to the finance company and before we knew what hit us we bought the darn thing. As soon as we signed on the dotted line he were out the door and then we got a reality check. As we really looked at the contract we realized he charged us more than quoted

Same thing happens, another ridiculously large amount of baking soda just explodes into the filter section and he has to shut it off. This happens honestly about another 6 times until it finally seems like the amount of baking soda blasting into the filter starts to tone down a little. It was completely crazy. It made this other uber-expensive $800 vacuum look like a fisher-price toy

I apparently had made a horrible mistake in purchasing this vacuum. Pulled the bag out and checked everything. Pulled the filter in the bottom of the canister.
