Kizer vs kizer sheepdog

A poo-poo knife. Terrible Heat treat, mass produced in China. But not to the standards of WE Knife, or Kizer.

The full size titanium handle is anodized in blue for a visually pleasing view, and the grooves are skeletonized to reduce weight for a balanced carry with the 3D milled one piece pocke clip (also of titanium I believe).

Obviously the Kizer Deviant…. I had no right to be so excited to finally get one of these, so partial blame I'll accept… but…. Never in over 40 years of knife buying have I been so disapointed in a knife purchase!. The detent on this thing is soooo bad that I could not deploy the blade with a thumb on the stud

Everything is pretty damn nice about it and the fit and finish is great and it's just got one ugly thing and that's the damn painting of the the actio...

I could go on and on but the point is I feel I'm getting the most bag for my dollar from Kizer. Lastly if your finger cant open a high end Kizer send it back. It's not a switchblade and one should never have to flip a good Kizer. I've torn mine apart just to find the simplest of construction

My EDC is a Kizer T1, which retails for as much as $175 or sometimes as low at $140something on sale. It's midsize, sleek-yet-classy, titanium handle scales, nice S35VN steel, good ergonomics, attractive, nice action, good heft, easy on and off the pocket flap. My needs are modest, yet that's just my style.

I usually have to relube the pivot on Kizer flippers, but this one flips perfectly without having to lube it. The detente is perfect-stiff but not overly stiff. The only slight bad part is that the anodizing is not even on the handle. It looks good, but it is not even

don’t buy cheap chinese garbage because it will perform like cheap chinese garbage and you will probably end up seriously injuring yourself since their detents and tolerances are cheap and super weak. The only chinese brands you should be buying from are civivi, WE, Kizer or Two Suns.

Lastly if your finger cant open a high end Kizer send it back. It's not a switchblade and one should never have to flip a good Kizer.
