Lamy 2000 vs Parker IM

The Sonnet is intended to be a gift pen covering the low to mid market, but it's so widely counterfeited, including in commercial supply chains, as to be assumed fake until proven otherwise.

Lamy 2000 is just as effective. Smooth nib? They both have it. I found out after using both pens that the Visconti is far too heavy for me.

Combining aluminum with plastic also feels flimsy. I just got the Parker IM in gray and black, every once in a while as I hold on to write, I feel a give on the plastic which I find to be cheap. The Everyman aluminum pens are passable, but just slightly under the weight I would like.

(I know there is a stainless steel version of the Lamy 2000, but (1) it's much more expensive, and (2) it doesn't have a window to view the ink level. For me, the stainless steel version is not worth buying.)

This being said, before I keep on splurging on my quest to find the right pen, I figured I also need to consider ink types / cartridges.

The price was great. And the pen was delivered a full week sooner than I expected. At this price, if you are looking for a fountain pen you can't go wrong. In fact, this is as good, or better than many pens twice or three times the price

The quality/price ratio is mediocre : whilst certainly not a bad pen, it's not worth the 17 € I paid for. A fairer price would be 12 €.
