I can maneuver the vacuum into all the weird or low nooks and crannies around our house and I cannot believe how quiet it is. I can have a normal volume conversation while vacuuming. I am beyond pleased with the purchase, especially for the price.

- Electrobrush attachment easily damages the cord. While I know you should obviously avoid vacuuming over the power cord, accidents do happen (especially because the electrobrush attachment is heavy and hard to lift over the cord while vacuuming), and it did an alarming amount of damage to the power cord the one and only time I accidentally vacuumed over it. - Bad exhaust placement: the exhaust vent is placed on the canister just above the power button and selection dial, meaning that you have to lean over the exhaust to turn the vacuum on/off or change the cleaning mode. It is really unpleasant to get a huge gust of warm air in your face/arm/leg when trying to adjust the vacuum settings or turn it off

I get nowhere near the advertised 1h battery life. The suction is ok when you use the rotating brush attachment. But the caster wheels on that attachment make it clunky to use on hard surfaces like hardwood floors. I have a canister Miele vacuum and the hard wood attachment from that fits this vacuum, but then the suction alone isn't enough

Pricing gets a bit finnicky, as there is as much cheap good stuff as there is expensive crap. (Example: my favorite cheapo vacuums, the 1st gen Dirt Devil Breezes, almost always sold for $50-60 during their prime. On the opposite side, pretty much everything by Dyson after 2010 is overpriced and under par.)

I see what Miele is doing here, they're promising a lot and trying to squeeze it into the same price bracket as Dyson because that's what will sell on a mass scale. Miele could do so much better. I wouldn't mind paying over a grand for an excellent cordless Miele, but the issue is that most people are not willing to pay that so they needed to cheapen it to fit into a cheaper price range. My C2 was $700, I would expect to pay more than that for a cordless with comparable cleaning ability

While it's basically a matter of personal preference between the two brands for most people, the Miele's do edge out the SEBO models on filtration when equipped with the HEPA exhaust filter. I think I'd look at the Miele Compact C2 Electro first in your case, but it'd be worth it to check the features of the other vacuums I listed as well in case anything stands out.

We are used to uprights and this is not as easy to get around the floor. The canister does roll easily, just not as easy to deal with as an upright. Unless you start at a corner of the room, you are doomed to roll over a cord or have to push it back, again over the cord. Overall, I love the suction of the vacuum, but not worth the frustration

The pieces are relatively easy to pop apart, but sometimes the plastic gets a little tight and it can be a little annoying to pop it back when reassembling while you’re cleaning. I’d say the suction is pretty good, but I just got a Bissell Zing Canister and that thing sucks up debris and dirt that my Miele won’t. I debated for a long time between Dyson and Miele and regret not going with a Dyson. I wouldn’t say I regret my purchase, but maybe the Miele name is better in the plug in vacuum arena

Worth the splurge!Even though it’s expensive, the Compact C2 is an investment that could last decades. It’s a powerful adversary against dust, dirt, and pet hair, and the ergonomic design and air filtration make it worth the steep price.

I would avoid the Miele Triflex just because they have an outdated dust bin design with a filter that clogs and gets extremely messy almost instantly. Something like the Oreck will be far cleaner and easier on the wallet.
