Meh design choices, faulty bladder

 It has a plastic piece on top that slides off. It's a little cumbersome and not as secure as the old screw lid style. I preferred that but we'll see how this one holds up- no leaks so far. Also, the bite valve has a strange magnetic attachment on it

Great Bag, Don't Like the new Resevoir

 If I want to or things a lot of things, I want to be able to access right away rather than having to dig into the big big pouch. This is a great pack for the hiker, who might only get out a few times a month wants to keep it light and doesn't need too many bells and whistles. Pump up your tires and head for the single track with the raptor 14. The trail may be rough but your pack will carry close thanks to osprey's bio stretch harness and hip belt that comfortably connect the pack to your body. A specially designed backer plate in the 3 liter hydraulics reservoir reduce liquid movement for increased pack stability at high speed. The hydration sleeve is zippered for convenient refills and the hose routes over the right shoulder strap to the sternum strap where it anchors with a magnetic disk for on-the-fly access to the bite valve. The main compartment is accessible via a front zipper panel. There's a stretch mesh front pocket for stashing a layer at the bottom of the big climb, zippered hip belt pockets to keep a phone or other valuables secure, and a special scratch-free sunglass pocket to protect your shades. So if you do run with this pack, you you'll be seen at dusk, the stretch pockets great for stashing, something like a jacket, a little vest action, and then we have a front pocket, got some storage behind that stretched pocket. It'S great for things that you take on the trail like a headlamp. I'Ve got a clip for your keys, so you don't lose them

 Might be nicer if it was wide enough for 2 tubes + tools (I jump from one bike to another often).  The last features I like a ton are the small goodies compartments on the belt region (can easily store 2, maybe 3, granola bars on each side. Also, massively love the magnetic mount for the water tube; works perfectly. The helmet grabber on top is also useful when packing for the long trips and keeping it all in one spot

 I spend a lot of time in the saddle each week (almost daily). Also, this is not the first hydration backpack I’ve owned. Like many other reviewers, I owned a multitude of hydration packs over the years, primarily CamelBak and a few lesser-known brands from big box retail stores.  ADDITIONALLY In this series of Osprey hydration pack there are four models

The Best Hydration MTB Backpack

 Very easy to use/clean with plenty of capacity. Most importantly, it fits my large frame (long torso/weight lifter with xxl shoulders/chest/back and normal waist). The pack is very stable and comfortable while riding though chunk. Stayed pretty stable while launching too

 At 6'1" at 230lbs I had some problems with the hose not being able to reach all the way across my chest to hook into the magnet. I fixed this by detaching the nozzle and feeding the hose through the other loop on the hydration bladder (see picture). This extended the reach of the hose so it fits comfortably now.
