My first Patagonia bag, and I'm impressed. I use it to hold my laptop because it has a little bit of cushioning on the back. It's really comfortable and can be adjusted depending on how much stuff is inside.

Patagonia Lightweight Black Hole® Cinch Pack 20L

I bought it because I was looking for a durable, lightweight, and practical backpack I could stash it with my clothes in my luggage when I travel. And this backpack fits the bill perfectly. 

It's extremely lightweight but the materials aren't flimsy. I love that I can just open up the bag and throw stuff in it without having to worry about zippers, velcro, or snap-ons. I like the front zipper pocket for things I need to access quickly. 

 And I'm not sure how long this draw cord will last with continuous use. I think the cord gets rubbed through the plastic piece pretty aggressively and it might wear out quicker than its intended use. Only time will tell.

Now Patagonie came up with the lightweight range for jest as the name says to keep things very, very light some people like to have, especially people spend a lot of time in the outdoors. Weight becomes a real premium and down to the gram and so this bag is a very clean, simple design with just a simple cinch top loading opening design. I kind of gear for people who are literally looking to get the blackk whole range of backpacks at the lowest possible weight

 With this pack dad, you're going to look to the easy, open and shut style of a climbing chalk bag. All you have to do is pull the draw cord closure and you've got open access to your main compartment. The open, highly breathable mesh shoulder straps and back panel with adjustable sternum strap make this super comfy. Micro daisy chains provide various lash points

 It's (probably) similar to the laminating procedure used to make rain shells. The TPU exterior laminate adds abrasion resistance and water repellency to the pack - it will never "soak out" (but this isn't water proof since the seams aren't treated). What is will do is repel all dog and cat fur (most packs attract fur and lint like magnets) and will never get soiled by dirty floors, conveyor belts, spilled food or sodas. Literally, just sponge wipe it clean (except for an untreated bottom patch)

The Achilles Heel of the Cinch Pack (and of the 26L panel loader) is the soft fabric/mesh back panel. It is a light gray, so it will soil. It is NOT waterproof or abrasion  resistant. It's not usually visible, either, and using the TPU laminate on the back panel would make it hot, sticky, and grab our shirts/jackets

 Clever - hard to explain and visualize, but the minute you check it out in person you will see what I mean. Personally, I can stow a lighweight (but still lined) windbreaker in here without the hassles and bulge that happen with flat panel slots.

The Cinch Pack is 17 ounces, the 26L panel loader is 19 ounces. The Cinch Pack, per Paty's published specs, is 32" for carryon "personal item" measurement purposes (sum of height, width, and thickness) while the 26L is 36", which is about the maximum size for a personal item on those airline websites that publish measurements.

Good for travel, acceptable for gym/city

Simplicity is best some times. Just like the KISS acronym keep it simple stupid. I have several day packs and find myself reaching for this one every time.

If you often find yourself traveling with heavy outdoor gear, the tapered shape of the REI Ruckpack may be just what you're looking for. The top-to-bottom zipper design allows for easy access and strategic packing, while the tapered shape encourages all heavy gear to stay down at the base. This helps keep the pack from getting top-heavy, creating an uneven weight distribution and causing discomfort or lack of balance. This travel backpack is the perfect airplane-to-trail bag for those trips when you are pressed for time or space. The comfortable harness system is completely stowable for long car trips or when checking your bag, and the easily accessible and organized side pockets are great for your travel essentials.
While we appreciate the side pocket organization, we found that some of the smaller pockets inside this bag are too shallow to feasibly hold anything. The shallow pocket theme extends to the two water bottle pockets on the sides, although these have improved since the last model. Most bottle sizes will fit but are not particularly secure when the bag isn't upright. The harder hip pads take a moment to get used to, so don't be surprised if you feel a little discomfort when you first put the pack on. The discomfort only lasted a few uses and, once broken in, offers ample support.

 There'S a lot of loops and fabric straps on the outside of this bag that you're, probably not gon na use for travel, but would come in really handy if you're using this bag on the trail for hiking. There'S these bungee cords up here. It'S got fabric loops down here, there's sixteen hidden daisy chains and a couple other more bungee, straps and loops, so there's probably about 30 or so different, bungee, cord straps and loops and the outside of this bag. Again, probably more than you're gon na need in your standard, in addition to those straps and loops, the outside of this pack also has two water bottle pockets, one on each side

 The fabric loop for the backpack straps and the rainfly most of the exterior organization on this pack is going to come from this top brain pocket and then these two kind of long skinny side pockets. The one on the left side has a bunch of little compartments in there for travel documents, electronics, passport, etc, and then the pocket on the other side just opens up. It has a small mesh separator and you can actually access the inside of the bag from that pocket. One of the great features on the ruck pack or the back packing straps REI makes a lot of camping and backpacking gear and they put a lot of the same features into the ruckpack as they do when they're backpacking backpacks

 It has two compression straps on the side, as well as a top brain pocket. These two long side, pockets that run the length of the pack and then the bottom of the pack is where it's stored. The fabric loop for the backpack straps and the rainfly most of the exterior organization on this pack is going to come from this top brain pocket and then these two kind of long skinny side pockets. The one on the left side has a bunch of little compartments in there for travel documents, electronics, passport, etc, and then the pocket on the other side just opens up

 It has these pretty big, thick backpack straps, there's a lot of buckles and straps and attachments on the outside of the bag that caused this thing to weigh in at about four point: two: five pounds: I have the men's version of the ruck pack and one of The reasons why this is kind of a good overall backpack for a lot of people is because it comes in two sizes, there's the men's version, which fits me pretty good at about 510 and then there's the women's version, which will fit torso length and hip ratio That are a little bit smaller than this bag. There'S a lot of features in this backpack that are more akin to a backpacking backpack, as opposed to a travel bag. There'S a lot of loops and fabric straps on the outside of this bag that you're, probably not gon na use for travel, but would come in really handy if you're using this bag on the trail for hiking. REI Ruckpack 40 Review

 A lot of the problems are related to weight savings, which makes sense for a hiking like day pack.

 The water bottle spots on the sides are big and can be tightened, very nice. Even that front netting is useful sometimes.  But I don't really hike, I bought the pack as a daily driver and it's not suited. The pack just isn't robust enough, but then it's a little too tall so it flops over when you set it down

On the women's focus version, if the pack is a little bit higher on your back, you have a ponytail or long hair that can stick right into the back of the pack. Hannah can verify [ Hannah ] ``, Yep !'', Starting with the straps we've got some Decent density foam going on here that helps with a comfortable carry

 We were a little bit confused on this, however, because the anchor is about halfway down the strap., And this is especially noticeable on the men's version.. When you pull and tighten this, the strap can kind of get crumpled up

, Just to make it more functional, with the intended use case of each side.. Moving on to the main access of the pack, these zippers here are lockable, which is a nice additional security feature.
