Want to keep your teeth white while keeping your budget in the black? The Oral-B Pro 1000 finds the perfect balance between performance and price. It delivered some of the best performances in our cleaning tests and is one of the most convenient, user-friendly brushes we've tested yet. 
Unfortunately, this brush's bulkier rotation-oscillation brush head and more aggressive cleaning style aggravated some of our testers, and those with more sensitive gums found it practically unusable. Besides struggling with user comfort, this model has one of the worst battery lives of any in our testing group, lasting only 11 days of daily use. Despite some of its issues, this brush is inexpensive and should keep your pearly whites perfectly happy and healthy when used properly &mdash; everything you want in a value toothbrush.

The Philips Sonicare for Kids is similar to the adult Philips Sonicare toothbrushes and includes the same plaque fighting power as the grown-up version. This brush is easy to use and rechargeable. It includes an automatic timer to keep kids brushing longer, and has fun stickers to customize its design. Testers liked how the bristles felt on their gums and didn't mind the sonic level of agitation. Parents like the brand name, quality, and reliability of this product. 
Unlike some of the competition, this brush only has a single setting. It is also one of the most expensive options in our review, which is a factor to consider. Overall, we think this brush and included charger and stand are a good choice for most kids from about five years old + and seem to have the quality to potentially last that long. These factors make it one we recommend to friends.

The rechargeable Oral-B Kids has a small, rotating brush head. The body of this electric toothbrush is a bit larger than that of the Quip Kids, but it was still easy for our kid testers to manipulate. It’s significantly noisier, though.

The Oral-B Kids Electric Toothbrush is a spinning sonic brush with a round brush head that includes a charger and stand for upright storage. We like the variety of potential kid-friendly themes, and the smaller round head was preferred by more than one tester over the larger and more traditional oval. This brush works well and is straightforward with a single button, perfect for newbies to the electric toothbrush game. It removes the plaque indicated with dye in our tests, and we like that the quality suggests you'll be brushing trouble-free for years to come. 
Unfortunately, this brush doesn't have a timer of any kind. While it offers information on downloading an app timer to use, this isn't something kids can do by themselves, so parents will need to be available with their phones. We suspect this app accessory will be used at first, but worry that over time with hectic schedules and real-life distractions, the app will be skipped, and kids won't meet the dentist-recommended two minutes of brushing. You can get a separate timer or a small 2-minute hourglass to help, and the price savings of this choice might make it a potential solution for those on a budget.

The Dr. Brown's Giraffe Infant to Toddler Toothbrush is a top-place winner in our books. Its giraffe shape is attractive to kids, its four legs provide enough surface contact for the giraffe to stand upright, and the base is broad enough for little hands to hold and control, yet easy for an adult to grip. The bristles are soft, and the toothbrush head is little-mouth-sized. We appreciate that the toothbrush is similar to a traditional toothbrush as we think it will set your little one up for dental hygiene success as they understand the concept and sensation of brushing. Plus, we think babies will want something like their parent's toothbrush.  
Honestly, we cannot find any significant drawbacks to this product. So, if you seek a pearly-white cleaner, especially one similar to a traditional toothbrush, we think this toothbrush is excellent.  

If you are looking for a budget-friendly product, consider the Jordan Step 0-2 Years Toothbrush. The quantity &#40;4-pack&#41; vs. price is appealing, plus the toothbrush ranks high. The toothbrush is short and sports a wide, ergonomic handle with some silicone for added grip that is easy for little hands to hold for our testers yet works for adults. The toothbrush head is ideal for little mouths, and the bristles are soft. Once your tot is ready for toothpaste, the bristles present a toothpaste indicator &#40;different in bristle color, the size of short-grain rice&#41; to show the correct amount of toothpaste to use with your child. We appreciate that the toothbrush is similar to a traditional toothbrush because we believe it is more likely to set your little one up for oral hygiene success. 
Unfortunately, the toothbrush doesn't stand upright. Although we don't consider this a deal-breaker, we appreciate a toothbrush that stands upright to air dry and avoid sitting on a germy surface. However, if you can overlook this shortcoming, we think this toothbrush is great, especially for its price.  

The Brush Baby BabySonic Infant and Toddler Toothbrush stands out among the competition as the only electric toothbrush. This battery-powered toothbrush &#40;includes 1 AAA battery&#41; comes with two brush heads, one for babies &#40;0-18 months&#41; and one for toddlers &#40;18-36 months&#41;. Push the power button, and brush away. It has a two-minute timer and pulses every 30 seconds to remind the user to move the brush to different parts of the baby's mouth. The handle uses silicone for better grip, and other features include a light and suction base to keep the toothbrush upright after brushing.
The initial price of this toothbrush is a factor to consider. Also, the instructions suggest replacing brush heads every three months or sooner if the brush head becomes worn. So be aware that this product involves additional expenses. The vibrations and light may be overstimulating for some children or distract from the job of getting teeth clean. We recommend this toothbrush to an older tot ready to take brushing to the next level or one that has become bored with the routine and is looking for something more. 

With extra-soft, vegetable-derived bristles, the Radius Totz Brush is designed for children 18 months and older, and as a colorful and sparkly toothbrush, it is aesthetically appealing for tots. I mean, what kid doesn't love glitter? The packaging and toothbrush handle &#40;#5 plastic&#41; are recyclable. Clip off the head and recycle the product. Considering how frequently dentists suggest replacing toothbrushes, we consider this a big perk. Plus, you can rest easy knowing your child's smile is extra clean and chemical-free, as the manufacturer claims the brush is created free of BPA, latex, and phthalate. If you like this product and need one for younger babies &#40;6 months of age and up&#41;, consider the Radius Pure Brush as it offers ultra-soft bristles for babies. 
The toothbrush's oval-shaped head is more generous in size, making it less ideal for small mouths but fine for toddlers. Also, some users report that the bristles shed; however, we didn't experience this issue during our hands-on testing. We think this product is stellar, but if you're dissatisfied, you are not out more than the cost of your morning cup of coffee. Therefore, we believe the Totz Brush is worth consideration if it meets your needs and budget. 

The Vekkia Sonic Kids Electric Toothbrush is a cool sonic brush for kids that comes with a charging cord and several extra brush heads for long-term use. This brush is kid-size, has an automatic timer shut-off, and has three modes. Kids liked this brush for the smaller brush head and the gentle sonic cleaning. Parents like the reduction of plaque seen during our testing. 
This option lacks a wall charger, so you'll need an extra or modern wall outlet with a USB port. While not a deal-breaker, it is a bummer that you might need to purchase something extra to recharge your brush. Overall, we think parents and kids will like this inexpensive option that comes with multiple replacement heads and has a cute monster to make cleaning away the plaque fun. 

This svelte electric toothbrush has the main features a kid’s brush needs: a smaller brush head and handle, and a two-minute timer. It was also the quietest, lightest, and most aesthetically pleasing of the brushes we tested.

The Baby Banana Infant Toothbrush is a toothbrush-teether combo with bristles that are more nub-like and thicker than a traditional toothbrush. The banana's "peel" handles are easy for little hands to grasp, and the silicone texture invites babies to chew. In fact, from our experience, most babies accept this teether and gnaw on it. It is also free of BPA, latex, and phthalates, plus manufactured in the USA. 
While testing, we noticed that the slick silicone surface attracts dust and hair, and even the bristles can trap hair. Therefore, we suggest inspecting the teether before giving it to your baby. If you like the idea of a toothbrush-teether combo, perhaps to introduce the concept and sensation of brushing while your little one bites for teething relief, we think this product is fitting.
