Don't plan on filling this humidifier at the faucet. If you take the water tank off, you can't flip it over in order to prevent drips as you carry it..

 The mist outlet points towards the front and cannot be aimed in any other direction.  I like the large capacity of this humidifier. I only have to fill it once every 24 hours when I put it on high. It’s not quite the most powerful humidifier that I own—I have another one that puts 1 gallon of water into the air in just 12 hours

 But this one does pretty well. The issue I have with this one is that it has a bright blue light that turns on behind the power dial and can’t be turned off. I need this humidifier for my bedroom, but I have trouble sleeping with blue lights. So I had to make a cardboard cutout to cover the dial so that I can sleep

This is a super great and totally satisfactory humidifier. The lid lifts free for easy refilling, and it’s very easy to clean. But it has the brightest blue light when it’s turned on, and for the life of me I can’t think what the developers were thinking when they designed this! I have to have a baby blanket wrapped around the bottom to block the light, otherwise the entire room is illuminated at night. But this does have a variable-mist knob so you can adjust the output - and this thing can really crank!

Good basic humidifier

It was working well until the red mold started to build up as seen in the picture. Tried to clean it with alcohol, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide but just couldn't get between the gaps and there is no way to disassemble the part. As much as I needed the humidifier because I have allergies, I didn't want to breath in the harmful mold.

  This unit does *not* have an aromatherapy / essential oils module. Do not use it with these types of oils or add-ins unless the add-in is specifically formulated to be mixed in with the water.  The 1.2 gallon water tank is easy to fill and will usually last me about 3 days, depending on how high up I have the humidity control. The water tank and the base unit has an antimicrobial coating but you should drain the water and empty the tank if you are not using it for more than a few days just to be on the safe side. Standing water is an invitation for bacteria to move in and form a sovereign kingdom

Reliable and effective humidifer

  To fill, you can lift the top lid and have a large space to pour water. Though the product description implies it's quick and easy, it takes over a gallon of water, so you'll probably make two runs to fill it. Pretty standard for the top fill humidifiers.

UPDATE: Over time something slimy starts building up in the lower area where the water is just before it's sent out. Cleaning it is difficult, because there are several small areas that can't be accessed easily. You'll need a tiny brush or toothpicks to get in there. I'm reducing it by 1 * from 5 to 4
