 Power button over here, speaker setup down on the bottom, only one speaker of course, and then it charges USB-C on the top here. IR blaster built in looks like, headphone jack, that's a bonus, some people really care about that. We'll go ahead and hit the power button and turn it on. This does have three gigabytes of RAM in it

 This one, lots of great upgrades. It's got more RAM, it's got more power, it's definitely zippier, and it's pretty cheap. You can get one through Metro by T-Mobile for like 119 MSRP. It's got LTE so you can get a data plan with it, and it's just a nice budget entry-level offering so you can have a solid tablet that keeps you connected, lets you surf the web, do your streaming services like Hulu, Netflix, and all that great stuff that won't break the bank

 It's just something that's a nice accessory, complimentary tablet that you have that's not going to cost you a lot of money, not going to break the bank, and it should give you a reasonably good experience for most things that you want to do on it, and I think that they did a good job with that. So I'll give them a thumbs up on this. If you're looking to get one of these, if they've got some specials where you can get it for free, or if you've got a nice upgrade, or if you can get it at Metro by T-Mobile and they'll pay a bunch of money for it, I think that you're probably going to be happy with it. It's not a thousand dollar tablet

 This is definitely not anything that's going to compete with a Samsung, or an iPad, or any of that stuff, but it doesn't have to. This is not trying to hold itself out there to be this amazing tablet that you can unlock the world with. It's just very tailored towards the budget audience to give you a really good experience for the money that you're paying for it. So I think the value on return is there, and I think that if you pick one up, if your expectations are that you're going to get something that's not going to be on iPad level, or not going to be on the Samsung tablet level in regards to performance, but it'll let you watch your shows, check your email, send some messages, and browse the internet, and have a 4,000 milliamp battery, which should be perfectly fine, then yeah, I think you'll be happy with this, and I think that's what's important at the end of the day

 So that is the Alcatel Joy Tab 2, 130 bucks, or if you sign up for an account and get a plan with it, it's about 30 bucks. For me, I mean, for a kid, I think it'd be good for watching videos and stuff, plug some headphones in, use Bluetooth, something like that, somebody that just wants an inexpensive internet device to carry around and be able to use that. I think it's gonna be fine. Again, it's not an overwhelmingly amazing experience in terms of the screen and the sound and the performance

 Now when you listen to audio, like I said, you do have that headphone jacks so that you're able to listen to audio. You also have Bluetooth, so when you swipe down, you have Bluetooth in here with Wi-Fi and obviously it has LTE built in here. Here's the camera, so you get, I'm on video right now, so you get panorama, video, auto for photos. You can put filters on here with all different things

 And then the mobile hotspot app. Everything else is what you see here. The only apps I installed were Subway Surfer, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. And then everything else is pretty much just vanilla Android apps

 And it goes for $120 and it's on the Metro by T-Mobile network. So it's a prepaid tablet that you would use on their prepaid network for as little as $15 per month. Now, remember, this is $120 tablets. So if you sign up for like a new account, you can get for it as little as like 30 bucks

 Those are some considerations to take into a, well, something to take into consideration when you look at a tablet like this. So whenever a lot of people look at tablets, they usually think iPad, they think Samsung Galaxy Tab S, stuff like that. But those are $600, $700 tablets, especially when you're talking about adding LTE in there as well. So, you know, normally a tablet like this would probably run about 80 or 90 bucks

 It's kind of in the iPhone 8 range. So if you're familiar with the iPhone XR or 10R, whatever you want to call it, the iPhone 11 or the iPhone 8, it has like an 820p display. So this is kind of the same ballpark. Of course, it's on a larger screen, so it doesn't look as sharp, but you're still getting an HD resolution on an 8-inch screen

0. You get full LTE capability. So 4G, great signal and solid performance for things like the internet, social media and all the important things that are there. You're just not really going to be able to do any gaming

 It's kind of the budget tier, 168 bucks, but it's got 2GB of RAM, it's got 32GB of storage, it's got 4G LTE, and you can add a SIM card in it for additional storage. So that's really nice. It's got a 4080 milliamp battery, and then you can also use the IR blaster to control your TV. So it's a nice little thing that they've got in there going forward as well
