It's hard to go wrong with the Anker Powerline+ USB-C to USB-A 3.0. In our opinion, this cable is one of the most durable options out there. It has a braided outer sheath to protect the cable and a hefty molded strain relief at the base of both connectors to reinforce a typical weak point on charging cables. It's USB 3.0 compliant, so you know you are getting excellent charging performance, and it's rated for transferring data at up to five Gbps. The Anker Powerline+ is available in both red and black in three and six-foot lengths. It also includes an attached Velcro strap to cut down on your charging clutter. 
We honestly don't have many negative things to say about this cable. The reinforced braided sheath makes this cable a little stiffer than some options in our fleet, but we didn't find this a huge issue. The connector body on the USB-C side is also a little bulkier, so it could be a bit more challenging to use or completely incompatible with certain phone cases &mdash; particularly heavy-duty or waterproof options. The only thing holding that last star back is the stiffness of the cable. It's very stiff. I know, it's a trade off for the braided cord but if this were braided and made out of silicone shielded wire (like the kind we use on RC cars and planes) that would be amazing

[Updated] I read extensively on what cables were best rated to last. I was tired of android auto cutting out every time my phone moved. This cable had great reviews but ultimately it lasted just as long as Amazon's cheap ones before it started being buggy. Update The seller was kind enough to offer a replacement

I called to ask questions about their certifications and warranties, as well as tech specs and questions on other Anker products I recently purchased. So believe me as a power user when I say their tech support was unexpectedly great! Yes, this is only a cable, but I give extra marks when companies back their products with great tech support and service.  Will definitely buy again from Anker when the need arises

Great Data Transfer Cable for Pixel 2 XL via Legacy USB 2.0 & 3.0/3.1 ports!

  The outer shell is a soft, woven kevlar the betrays the strength and durability it provides. On of the images on Amazon claim the the braided kevlar coating can hold over 80kG, or roughly 175 pounds. I really wanted to test this out by using the cable to rappel off my roof, but unfortunately I’m a bit over that weight, and most likely above any in built margin of error. I’ll have to leave that to someone else to test

 The weight of it alone let's you know that Anker mean business. Upon further inspection, the finished ends are secure and plug in snugly. The wire inside is sheathed and protected with a nylon weave. I would never voluntarily purchase these types of cables without that outer nylon weave

A Winner

 It's very strong but light and manageable at the same time, holds any pressure or strain and feels like is going to last for years. It's made of double-braided nylon on the outside, Kevlar on the core and the connectors are laser-welded. Since I bought an Anker cable before, I wasn't scared or surprised by the fact that you have to push slightly harder than other cables to get this in position. Actually this makes me feel more secure because of the grip and I'm used to it and love it

  Overall, this is a great heavy duty Type-C cord that works great as long as your case doesn't constrict the Type-C connector.  I got a sample to test and certify my review is fair and honest.

  Compared to the other Type C cords I've gotten, this is by far the nicest cable and connector wise. The others haven't failed, but this just looks and feels premium comparatively.  Overall, this is a great heavy duty Type-C cord that works great as long as your case doesn't constrict the Type-C connector.  I got a sample to test and certify my review is fair and honest
