Soundcore Motion+ - The Best Budget Speaker (Viewer Request Video)

Brought the anker soundcore motion+ based on reviews to replace my ancient bose soundlink mini that died. The sound, even though newer bluetooth standard is no way near the rich attractive sound of the bose and I'm now sending it back. Im just shocked that the reviews were misleading or that after all these years the soundlink still sounds so good and size so compact.

 Love the sound! However, I don't like the port area for the charging cable.  It is difficult to align the charging cable end to the charging port on the speaker. Afraid that this junction may fail at some point due to a wrong connection! This is a very weak point in my estimation for this speaker, being that it has to be charged often. Comparing the iPhone charging port to this? The Soundcore, is inferior

 So even if you switch devices, the motion plus will stick with the eq that you've chosen in terms of bluetooth. Soundcore Motion+ REVIEW - Still worth it in 2021?

Anker Soundcore Motion Boom for best bang for your buck. It's quite amazing the deep bass they get from this little speaker.

I went with the Exos-9. Removed the built-in compressor and used Oluv's EQ settings. It is decently heavy, but not bad in my opinion. I'd take it anywhere 😄

There is an offical carrying case, but a Kickstarter case will also be available for who knows how long in the future.

Bumpboxx and Diamondbox also make some louder bigger portable bluetooth speakers, but it seems a lot of them don't sound as good as you would think. Not until you get to the $800-1000+ range anyways.

The Aiwa Exos-9 while not as loud, is still decently loud. I clocked around 110db and that was two steps away from full volume. Didn't want to go that far.

I would say the 1 speaker to rule them all that isn't insanely priced is the Aiwa Exos 9.  Retails for $300 and sounds absolutely amazing!  Completely crushes anything that sells for less than $500.  I use mine as a stand alone speaker that stays plugged in and on a table in my living room.  If that's what you want your's for, it's your best bet by far. 

For a portable speaker I would buy the Soundcore Motion Boom.  Much more base than the Exos 3 and is also much louder with the right EQ settings.  Don't get me wrong, the Exos 3 is a nice speaker and sounds great, but Aiwa needed to price it in the same range as the Motion Boom/Motion+ to be competitive.  Considering you can get 2 Motion Boom speakers for the price of 1 Aiwa Exos 3, it's a no brainer.

So it seems like the market is purely saturated with sub-$100 trash and there aren't any high-end options that is a 1-speaker-to-rule-them-all kinda speaker for a high price.

So, from what I know of my options, seems I should just get a versatile combo of speakers. Aiwa Exos 9, Sound Motion Boom or the Aiwa 3 would be my best options(?) While I've also seen the W-King D9 - I hadn't ever heard of it and the way people comment about it, reeks of astroturfing...

My intentions: Well, until I have oil-rich $$$ for a 10k sound system, these will be my temporary poverty at-home speakers. I figure I'll buy a smaller one and a big boi. 

But what'll always be the case is needing 'em for when I am on the road. I'd like versatility. As in - have Exos 9 &amp; Exos 3 &amp; Aiwa X-100 and have the big boi option for a stationary beach day. For a 3-4 day hiking trip, can bring the Exos 3 or the Aiwa X-100 depending how tough life is going to be. 

So I am tempted to cop all Aiwa, for easy connectivity/hoping they'll throw me a deal. But pleaseeee tell me there are some crazy high-end portable BTS I am not privy too.

Don't Know if an Audiophile would use a portable BT Speaker... but hypothetically what'd they buy (w/ budget for 1-2 speakers @ $500)? I'm an Audiophile-Lite™ so just the best bang (aka clean, non-muddy bass &amp; quality sound) for my buck.

  Now, I also have a built in EQ on my OnePlus 6T and decided to try that. First I turned off the custom EQ settings on the speaker (best way to do that is to hit the BassUp button on the speaker twice. Once turns on the BassUp profile and a second one turns BassUp off, reverting to "bassoff" mode). My OnePlus EQ has some "general enhancements" setting that I applied and I played with the sliders and it sounded pretty awesome

. you read that right but only when cranked to uncomfortable levels and bass heavy music. There are a couple possible reasons for this. I could be asking for the passive radiators to do too much (I have two EQs, after all)

. why? Because it's a freaking portable bluetooth speaker, not your home theater system, your bookshelf system, or your car stereo. If you want to FEEL the bass in your chest or whatever, you'll need to pony up for a speaker with enough size to resonate those sound waves. Doing so, you'll likely lose a lot in portability and whatnot

This is going to be long winded, but I'll likely answer a lot of your questions  My intended purpose was to replace an aging Bose SoundLink Mini 1 that I was using for music in my garage gym. The SoundLink mini is an impressive speaker when it's size is taken into account. They provide a deep, full sound and produce great bass, but struggle when turned up much past 60% (at least mine does, but it is old). What I wanted was a speaker that could get louder while still producing a quality sound

How Soundcore Motion+ Replaced My Desktop and TV Speakers (FULL REVIEW 2022 Update)

- Anker Soundcore Motion+. What I'm worried about the most is sound quality and build quality. I need a long-term Bluetooth speaker.

 The layout of the drivers and the fact that there are 5 of them in this tiny package absolutely fills the sound stage and the DSP does a very good job of balancing the power between them all. The battery lasts quite a while: long enough for a day trip or party multiple times over, and it doesn't seem to lose much charge when unused for a few days at a time. The portability is fine, it is a bit heavy and decently large, so you won't be putting it in your pocket and can't really comfortably hold it in your hands for more than a few minutes, but that's probably not what you would be buying a speaker like this for anyways.  That said, I do have a few issues, some of which are major and should be extremely easy to fix (and I honestly am surprised that anyone in this day and age would leave these features out), these issues being that 1

 Then I remembered I read a review that said the default EQ was awful and that the app allows you to change it, and changing it to anything other than the "Bass Up" or "Bass Off" (Bass off sounds like the awful cacophony but without any bass) makes this speaker absolutely shine. The problem with this solution? You HAVE to have it connected to your phone, and you HAVE to use the app to change the EQ, EVERY SINGLE TIME YOU TURN ON THE SPEAKER. On the speaker itself, you can switch between "Bass Up" and "Bass Off", but you cannot set a default EQ, you cannot save a custom EQ from the 9-band custom EQ, and you cannot disable the "Bass Up" from being defaulted on every time you turn on the speaker. Because the speaker sounds so awful out of the box, I have given 4 stars in the "Sound Quality" feature, but if you change the EQ the sound quality goes up to 5 stars for sure

The speaker itself is very good, has a lot of power for the size and I can usually crank it up to 100% without any clipping and almost no distortion if any at all (after adjusting the EQ settings... more on that later)

Every time you turn on the speaker, it defaults to it's god awful "Bass Up" aka "Destroy the sound quality" EQ that makes everything sound TERRIBLE. Great Speaker, has some fixable issues

 Definitely good value. It'S not one of those speakers that i'm saying is awful, don't buy, it's def, definitely a thumbs up. I know it's great fun to listen to i'd, but for me a bit bit too punchy a bit a bit lean but great, but i can listen to it.
