 There have been no other issues that we've experienced, so generally we are quite happy with the quality of the move and how reliably it works day to day. I don't get good Wi-fi coverage in my garden. Is there any way around that? Thankfully the move actually comes with a Wi-fi extender built in and we test. We tested this in our previous video and we were still skipping tracks about 50 meters from our wi-fi router before it struggled to keep on playing

Sonos Move 1 Year On: What We Know Now!

I got a Sonos Move, and just bring it outside when needed—very flexible.  Can control over AirPlay 2 including via HomePods if you assign it to a room in the Home app (“Hey Siri, play Xxx on the Deck speaker”).

I took the plunge to HomeKit and am looking for good outdoor speakers that support airplay. I would prefer wireless but am open to anything.

I have been looking for a speaker to listen to podcasts in the shower and while I get ready for work. Amazon and Walmart list battery-operated, waterproof speakers like the Bose Soundlink Micro and some by JBL as HomeKit-enabled. Is this legit? Has anyone added these to their home setup through the Home app? How would you go about doing it?

Battery Powered Airplay Speakers?

The 7 Best Home Speakers - Spring 2022

Alright, technically this isn’t a HomeKit question but it’s airplay and 3rd party devices so I figured you guys would know what’s up.  There’s no Airplay sub, this isn’t really an Apple topic either. 

I’m checking options for an outdoor sound setup but haven’t hit on anything good that would support Airplay (important for multi-room audio, so that it syncs up with music inside).  What do you guys have that isn’t ridiculously expensive? Sound quality is important but mostly to compensate for the poor outdoor acoustics, so no reason to go overboard either. 

I’ve looked at the Atrium line but they require a receiver to power them. If I could find a decent outdoor receiver that supports Airplay this might work. I guess I could put the receiver inside and run wires through the wall. This isn’t really ideal though. 

I’d prefer something more permanent than a battery speaker set. JBL Flip 5 looks pretty good and you can pair them for stereo. The sound is apparently good but it doesn’t support Airplay. 

Homepods would be great if they were outdoor-friendly and not discontinued!

Any thoughts? What do you guys have?
