AOC CQ27G2 - This 27" gaming monitor is All Out Crazy (Punboxing Review)

Did some research and decided it could be the contrast ratio, so I looked into VA panels and decided on the AOC CQ27G2 monitor. A way cheaper product to "upgrade" to, but it seems like one of the better VA panels.

Color not as good as I'd hoped

 You know, it's a FPS game, but it's not a competitive game like Counter-Strike where every pixel counts. So what I'm trying to say over here is that this monitor is actually pretty impressive in terms of its response time and input lag, but it's more suited for casual gamers rather than a hardcore competitive gamer. So overall, what do I make of this monitor? Well, considering it's around £260 for the specs that you're getting, I think this is an absolute bargain. It is based on the market in terms of more of a casual gamer and non photo editor type of monitor

Bad Shadow and edge AA ghosting

 The G2 line isn't fundamentally different from the G1 monitors that have been quite popular options over the past year, but there are slight spec revisions and new prices. The monitor I have in for testing is the CQ27G2, this is a 27 inch 2560 by 1440 monitor with a maximum refresh rate of 144 hertz using a curved VA panel. It supports adaptive sync with low frame rate compensation and it's even G-Sync compatible certified so it automatically works with Nvidia graphics cards. Right off the bat it's hitting that gaming sweet spot providing 1440p at high refresh rates

 Hello and welcome to WePC, my name is Jay and today we're going to be taking a look at the AOC CQ27 G2U. Now the CQ27 is the latest arrival in the G-Series family, superseding the ever-popular AOC CQ27 G1 that was released back in the summer of 2019. It offers the same 1440p 1ms 144Hz VA panel as its predecessor, alongside a pretty similar design as well. But that being said, it does provide better colour accuracy, a wider gamut and a more immersive curve when compared to the first-gen alternative, not to mention FreeSync Premium

 I tested a bunch of FPS games as well as my favorite single player games. Now, with a 144 hertz refresh rate, a low response time and that AMD FreeSync variable refresh rate, I was excited to see how this thing fared. I firstly loaded up my FPS title of choice, Call of Duty Cold War, and instantly the 144 hertz provided me with that liquidy smooth gameplay that I would expect. And it was backed up by a fast pixel response time to ensure that there was no ghosting occurring
