There is a second exclusive face to series: seven, it's called contour, it's the one that you see in a lot of the marketing material, and i mean the aesthetic of it is subjective right, not everyone's gon na, like it it's this set of stylized numbers that go Around the perimeter of the dial, but when i look at it it feels like a tech demo. It feels like apple, only put this on apple watch series 7, just so they could showcase what the largest screen could look like with the refractive glass on the side. So you can kind of see that kind of bending optical illusion of the screen it's kind of neat, but at the same time, it's strange to me that they built a watch face with so much emphasis on perimeter detail just so they could showcase what the largest Screen on series 7 could do it almost feels like they built that watch face just for the marketing material

 They all thought that there would be a refresh like a redesign for apple watch series. Seven and obviously it didn't come right that flat-faced design never came around. It was just the standard curved edge, uh apple watch that we've seen for several years now, so when it, when it first came out that this was going to be apple, watch series 7., i think a lot of people kind of laughed at the rumors

As someone who has a series 1 I’m definitely pumped! All of the reviews downplay it I think because the reviewers are techies that get review units each year. I will acknowledge I’m behind and it’s me that hasn’t updated. But I feel like we’re caught up in update culture. Where yes they could add more health features and a few more things but also the changes are so incremental because it’s such a good device in the first place.

I’m debating on canceling my preorder after seeing these reviews. I’d be upgrading from a day one Series 4 with 80% battery health. 

I mainly upgraded so that I can have a good battery life again, get AOD and blood oxygen sensor. 

I’m seriously thinking of just getting a battery replacement and call it a year. It also doesn’t help that if I want a black Watch I have to go SS.

 Lastly, i also wanted to talk about external sensors that you can pair with each of these watches. So with the series seven, you can pair external bluetooth, heart rate sensors, which can be useful for stuff like weight training where, in general, most wrist based heart rate sensors. Don'T do all that well and then you can also pair up foot pods like the stride foot pod. However, with the phoenix 7 and the epix, you can pair both bluetooth as well as amp plus external sensors, and these could be heart rate, sensors foot, pods, speed and cadence sensors for cycling power meters for cycling, temperature, sensors, electronic shifting for cycling, garmin, vario radar and Lights golf club sensors, i mean basically anything so on a high level

 Apple watch series 7's those come with aluminum case, but there are also stainless steel and titanium case options and with the higher end options you actually get a sapphire glass lens and beyond that, though, there's also going to be a lot of different options when it comes To style where you can choose from tons of different combination of case colors and bands and a whole bunch of other stuff, and you think, there's a huge gap in terms of price and you're. Garmin also does have an app store sort of thing that they call connect iq where you can download apps watch faces and widgets for your watch and there's a lot to choose from here. But these aren't going to be quite as robust of apps as what you can find on the apple watch series 7.

Sometimes when I run, I look down and notice it’s not reading my heart rate. I have to spend a few minutes readjusting and waiting for the HR to kick in (which is difficult to do while running).


Also in response to your band complaint, I got a rly pretty one from Amazon that I wear a lot - especially for more formal occasions. I got it in the color gold (not rose gold) and it’s two toned (gold & silver). It matches everything and it looks high end and very refined in person (the pictures in the reviews don’t do it justice IMO). 10/10 recommend.

I really dislike that it doesn't know when I'm activity on my phone. When I'm scrolling and clearly see a message notification and then the Apple watch still needs to buzz and tell me I've gotten a message. Kinda wish there was a way for it to know I already got it.
