Asus TUF Gaming A17

Honestly, Asus, clean up your Armoury Crate and Aura software suites, and NO : YOU DON'T NEED 8 WINDOWS SERVICES to allow your users get the most of their machines !. I still want to thank Asus for other very affordable models like the TUF Gaming A17, and congratulate them for choosing AMD for their high end rids, and for the improvements they have brought to the laptop scene, but to be honest, this time Lenovo really has an edge.

If it doesn't come with a second drive but has the space for one to be added then that's OK too. An RGB keyboard would be nice, but I would understand if the laptops at this price range didn't have one. A good, proper, normal keyboard layout is pretty important to me though (the ASUS TUF A17 seemed good to me until I saw how small the arrow keys were). Also the screen should be attached to the keyboard fully, and not with a central pillar (like the one one in the HP Pavillion Gaming 17, it just looks so flimsy).

No luck. Okay, let's try a BIOS downgrade. This time I was asked for confirmation, but only because it was a downgrade... Still no luck.

You did good by returning your laptop. Asus laptops might be okay in the price-to-performance department, but their software is horribly stinky trash. I have a TUF A17 (2020 model), and I updated something called "Asus System Framework" through the Armory Crate app. My laptop got into a startup repair loop after that, and I had to reinstall Windows to get rid of that problem, losing my configuration and apps in the process.
