 Looking really nice machining, it looks like nice crisp edges, some kind of jimping insets there, the pocket clip which i asked them. What this was it's actually the pocket clip it's held in from the top. So that's cool and let's see you know what the action's like. I, like the logo right there, nice and fast um - really nice, not too hard to actuate, like some other uh brands about the front knives that i've had and seen very snappy

All right, so this knife thoughts, video, is going to be an unboxing video, but i can't actually tell you what the knife is, because i don't know so this is what i'm really excited about, because it's from axial gear, which is a new company, that's uh, has Knives and some other tools - and i found on instagram and was asking them some questions and they offered to send a knife for review for feedback really, so i don't actually know which of their models they sent. But i wanted to make this video and see what my initial thoughts were on, so i will get it open with the knife i'm carrying today, the cold steel code 4. and, let's see what is in the package, so looks like it comes in a black box And it really nice looking actually - and you can see that this is uh so far, all of their knives are out the front automatic knives, but it has uh this nice kind of embossed design on it and i'm guessing. This is their larger model here, but their logo is pretty cool too

 This is a significantly sized knife from from the feel of it here, nice little kind of felt pouch, not exactly um velvet, but felt like uh. You can see inspected by wb uh, which is a nice little touch there. I kind of like to keep that intact for uh full review and pictures and such so there we go and let's take it out, so this is their full-size model very sleek. That'S the first thing i notice very, very sleek, all blacked out it's an out the front, as you can see, has the flag there, which is really cool

 That'S one of those things that i do like about out the front knives is they they often not always, but often have nice simple handles, and you know if you watch my channel that i believe that a simple handle usually means an ergonomic handle and that's uh. I think the case here feels pretty good in the hand. You do definitely it's a full size knife. You get a full four finger grip on it easily, so yeah i like it has a really classic clip point style blade which you see on you know a lot about the front knives

 First impression. The clip um doesn't sit super high, so i'm not feeling a hot spot on that clip a nice simple handle. New historic low price for Diesel On Full Guard Gen 4 at Amazon - $79.00

 Not that they're always terrible knives, but not kind of the high end type knives, and then it goes all the way up to 250 dollars, plus usually more like 300 plus for the really high-end well-made american-made, particularly type out the front knives. So they identified that there is a gap in the market and want to fill that gap, and so this knife, the shift in s35vn, which is the model i have here, is going to end up being just under 200. It'S actually less now it's on sale, but the cpm20cv version will be just over 200 dollars. So right in the middle of that gap and um, they do have other knives in the works

 So a big thank you to axial gear for sending this knife along for feedback and review, and if you are interested in and enjoy high quality american made out the front knives, i don't hesitate at all to recommend the axial gear shift. I think it's a great knife - and i think particularly now at 180 dollars, you really can't beat it value-wise and even at 200. I think you can't beat it value-wise.  You can see that i did get a little bit of scuffing here on the handles from use, but pretty well done. Has a nice matte feel to it? Not super super rough, but a little bit of a matte feel so that you can get grip, and i have used this with wet hands things like that. No problem there, as well as with gloves on no problem there either. So with the clip

 One thing that i like is that these kind of jimpings are recessed rather than sticking out like most jumping again an example there and then an example on this they're recessed. So it does give some grip but keeps that nice clean. Look to it, the anodization is really nice. It is hard and is anodized on the aluminum handles here and then the clip has a pvd coating they've both held up pretty well
