 Maybe it would be better suited to a colder environment. I’d be interested to hear from someone who has tried ice climbing with it. Honestly it’s been a good rope but if you need one that’s going to repel water and stay dry, I might try something different.

  Also, Beal has a great reputation for top quality ropes, as does the company that makes the Tommy Caldwell rope, BTW.  I just wanted something more obvious to the eye.  The feel of this rope is substantial; I do not prefer "soft" ropes.

I've used this rope a few times now and I am enjoying it. It  wasn't too stuff using it the first time and it is easy on the hands.

 I wouldnt trade lower weight for the extra features. This rope is almost perfect, and the nicest handling diameter in my opinion. Not to thin, not too thick. Not too light and fragile, not too heavy and bulky

About middle of the pack for weight and thickness, it dissipates falls with one of the lowest fall impact forces out there, allowing you to climb confidently on smaller gear. With a high fall rating and bi-pattern weave, its my most trust worthy rope. With Due care it seems to wear well for a 9.7 mm rope

Incredible Rope

3 Kn the lowest of any rope I have ever climbed on.  For those that don't understand this stat it basically tells you how much force will be exerted on your body during a fall of a specified distance.  The lower the number the softer the catch!  That being said because the impact force is so low this means this rope has significant stretch making it less than ideal for those who plan to do allot of top roping.  I have climbed on my Booster exclusively for two seasons now and I feel that I have put it through its paces, I use my equipment hard! With over a hundred days worth of climbing, it has seen no mercy, it has been dragged through the dirt raked over nasty abrasive rocks and sharp  edges and caught countless falls

  This is a really great rope, not the toughest one I have ever used but certainly the softest catching and smoothest handling.  It was with the sadness of loosing an old friend and climbing partner that I retired my Booster.  But on the up side, I just finished ordering a brand new one.

I bought this rope at the beginning of the season in April/May, used it about once a week up until the end of August. Overall a great rope I'd buy again.
