I've learned to stretch the headband while lowering onto my head, then gently seat each earcup onto my ears. The cushions are nice and thick and will mitigate the effect of the clamp when properly on. Once they are on, they are engaging for critical listening as well as cranking it up while working, cleaning, doing outdoor chores, or drinking to excess to dull the miserable experience of living through this tense and strange time. Yay, headphones!.

Beats Flex: Sounds like I'm getting less audio. Like when dank pods used that hand example where it feels like you are getting less sound with the cheap 10 dollar Sony headphones is exactly how I feel with these. Still not bad for working out though.

The change to a USB-C connector doesn’t particularly matter to me as long as there is a USB-A to USB-C cable in the box. The battery life, at least, appears to be improving substantially. I’ve dabbled in audiophilia, but I’ve been satisfied with the sound of Beats^x because I have a realistic expectation of how accurate a sound is possible with earbuds. I expect the Beats Flex to be just as good.

The sound at first began to stop in one ear and work on the other literally at least 1x per minute- then it became inaudible - skipping the way a super old, scratched up burned 💿CD would - literally just playing sounds like “tick” “tick” “tick” w/only a few FULL words breaking through. 1 every 30 seconds or more and this continued on while I began to troubleshoot and finally with this going on for nearly an hour, having read the full printed manual and then visiting the website as suggested by the pamphlet. I was forced to (FYI: I’ve bought 3 high-end MPOW TW earbuds, the amazon echo TW earbuds, the raycon E25s, & the new BEATS Bluetooth flex earbuds within the last 8 months and I’ve never had this issue, nor anything REMOTELY like it, w/ANY of these devices!)

The Flex addressed both these issues, plus have that quick pairing with all Apple products. Being able to just snap them around my neck like a necklace in between meetings and not having the battery die has made a huge difference. Audio quality is actually better than the generic Airpods too. Great pair of headphones for $50.
