For a $200 knife... Horrible quality control

 There is noticeable wear on the blade after cardboard box work, which was a little disappointing. The movement has only gotten smoother, but the lock button started off gritty and is only quiet when I use thumb and index, on both sides of the scales, in a sort of pinch-and-tug motion. Not something I should be doing on a knife at this price. The same button could have been sanded down a bit at the factory

 Amazon did not charge my card until it shipped, which was nice of them. The price is significant for a single knife, but I hope this is a knife I can hold onto for a while and it makes me happy that an excellent tool is still made in the USA.

 The smaller blade has its uses, but it feels like you're showing up to join the posse on a mini-horse. If the universe did not have the larger 940, the dainty 945 would not appear to be the kid brother. Perhaps, Benchmade can make a 943 that is an in-between size. That way, guys like me can pick and choose the knife for that day's purpose, instead of making a choice between the full-size and the miniature version of it

Careful if you're a lefty switching the pocket clip, as it can be a disaster. Otherwise perfect EDC blade.

They used loc-tite on the pocket clip screws.
