 Hey guys, TalonSai who recorded this video, that version of him was a little crazy. So he forgot to check the hashtag LockdownKnifeWeek. I'm going to do that and then we'll let him take over and all of his craziness. So looking at the hashtag today, I still don't think anyone has actually posted the exact knife that we're going to be taking a look at

 So let me know. So that's all that I had for the freak or super freak whatever you want to call it. I think this knife will definitely keep its place in my collection and maybe in the future I'll even test it out, carry it a little bit. And I think this one would actually be pretty good for a stress test so maybe we'll have to take it outside and beat on it a little bit in the future

 Alright going crazy guys, what's up? Back with another episode of Stuff N' Things, lockdown knife week, quarantined inside and we're bringing some knife reviews today. This is one that you may have seen on the channel in the past, I actually opened this during a mail time video. I used it to open some packages during that video and since then it has been in my collection however, I have not EDC'd this. It has virtually no wear on it although this knife can definitely take it

 I know the 940s from Benchmade have a cult following and I'm just really not a fan of those blades simply because of the blade shape, the aesthetics of it. A ton of people swear by those knives and I know you guys want to see a review on that however it's just not something I'm really interested in. This one is a little bit more my speed and I'm curious if you guys have one of these out there. Let me know in the comments down below how the steel has held up

 I always have a hard time picking up these pieces of paper off of the material that I've got here as the background. But anyways, that's going to be pretty much it here today, guys, for the super freak. Fantastic knife. I urge you to check it out

 I'm having a lot of fun playing with this knife, and I think that it'll serve people really, really well. You know, one thing we didn't do, for those of you who are still hanging on with me, we didn't do the paper cut test. Given the shape of the blade and the starting thickness, I'm going to assume that this thing is going to be a paper shredding machine. As always, the paper cut test is not a definitive cutting test

 So this paper cut test is only designed to give you a minimal idea of the thinness behind the edge and how it cuts something as simple as paper. So actually, first, here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to do a pass with the PM2. Everybody's standard for a slicey knife, PM2 as usual, very slicey

 This knife, aesthetically, is very pleasing to me. It may not be your cup of tea, but to me, this is an awesome looking knife. The materials are top notch. The fit and finish is great on this one

Benchmade 560BK-1 Super Freek - Overview and Review

I really leave a good blade on my knife, but this being said, I much more love a comfortable handle with little to no hotspots on it. The more it fills my hand, the better.  I don't really use gloves, so this is an important aspect for me.

.. benchmade have to do something other than the run of the mill s30v, right?  The biggest complaint is pricing, with the regular freek going at 120 ish I see no reason for this one to hit 200 - that's too much, s30v is perfectly fine, the only thing they need to replace is the original freek rubber-ish handle with FRN and be done with it.  By the way, if you have a smaller hand or want the mini grip size knife, wait for it, I bet the mini version will come later this year

 The M4 steel is (should be) excellent if it is like other benchmade M4, I'm yet to test it hard. The only downside of M4 is that it comes coated, and a coated blade on the axis lock sucks, it just takes away some of the smoothness opening and closing, oh well..

Nice design, room to improve

 We're playing a similar game here, but this knife just in real application, the way it feels and functions to me, I don't feel any need to buy another full size grip. I think this is the better knife between those two. I never felt like the full size grip really held that much of a candle to my PM2.  He said no, because he's a wise man and it's a really nice knife and he wants to keep his. So I went ahead and ordered one from Rivers Edge Cutlery. You’re probably sick of these, but I’ve scoured and am totally overwhelmed. I’d appreciate any suggestions. Given the criteria, what would you choose? 

Looking for a Christmas gift for my boyfriend. It would be EDC, folding, left or ambidextrous, blade between 3.25-4.5 preferably a combo blade (?) with a budget of $250. Need something that can be opened with one hand sometimes using a glove, and it’s got to be a strong. 

He’s a full time farmer and rancher (winter is calving season) who is addicted to tools, Snap-On specifically. He has tool boxes on every piece of equipment, but uses freebie knives 🙄

I’d prefer American Made, but know that’s sometimes only partway possible. Benchmade’s political issues have kept me away thus far.

One of my favorite folders

 It is just stupid how good it held its edge. Yeah, the M4 steel, the Benchmade heat treatment, incredible. What I do want to say that is very important is that the grades that this knife got are the grades that normally a fixed blade would get. Yeah, so we tested this knife like it was a fixed blade

 What are we gonna do with it? I just don't know. I just don't know! Oh, please don't throw me away, mommy and daddy! Yeah, ladies and gents, life can be unfair sometimes. This little knife was a folder, a Benchmade Freak to be more specific. And from the moment it was born, it was destined to have a hard life
