I can't believe Betty Crocker has their name on this mixer. Its beaters wobble so bad there is no way it will last long but its not worth the cost to return to Amazon. Had I bought it locally it would have been back in the box 10 seconds after turning it on to test it. My beaters also rusted after the first wash just like others stated here so its beaters are total junk and BC should be ashamed of it

 Without me actually seeing the Hobbs quite honestly idk if its decent either? I can't believe people can't buy a decent hand mixer of all things? I mean it's not rocket science by any means. Now I do feel this unit has a decent motor just holding it, this one does have a bit of weight to it. Its a beater issue, I'll bet thats why some have issues with them releasing too if they look at the top of their tip that goes into the beater, some may be poorly machined?  Why I say okay motor? Most of the units I seen in stores have very cheap & small sized motors inside and and that's why they put thin wire beaters on them so they have less resistance and last longer. See Kitchen Aid reviews , its way under powered, most learned it using dough hook I've not tried on this unit

Beaters Wobble

 I have returned this mixer and spend $10 more for a Hamilton Beach model with much more power, separate turbo button and an eject option that isn't in the power setting.

 However, the high speed wasn't very powerful and there is no turbo boost option on this mixer. Also, the beater eject button is the notch AFTER full power. You have to turn the mixer off, unplug, then push the lever through the power levels to the eject setting. They do not come out easily

 The blender itself isn’t very heavy which is perfect for me, and it didn’t seem to overheat at all when I used it making a few recipes in a row. It is corded, powered by an outlet. The blender itself I recommend.

 The B & D beaters were used for 10 years and never had a spot of rust because they were quality stainless steel. Don't recommend these chrome-plated beaters. I'll keep the mixer and use with my old beaters and report back if I have any issues with the mixer itself. I rarely give bad reviews as I research everything before I purchase and really read the reviews
