Black and Decker Leaf Blower Vacuum Mulcher Review

Great for light duty

 the bad is the hardware attachments. The plastic mixers is a nice idea for beaters but they don't really work well for mashing cooked potatoes. My other issues is the mixture gets "pushed" and builds up around the bowl inner perimeter so i find myself constantly having to stop and wipe down so nothing finds its way onto the counter. If you can find metal beaters that will work with it, I highly advise that

 My old beaters did so the unit is used. If I didn't have them, I would have returned this.

It's nice but needs better beaters

This is a review for a free product, and my honest review. I like the look, storage case, great speed, and easy to hold. My issue is when using the beaters, whatever I'm mixing goes up the beaters! When making a cake and the mix/batter keeps rising up the beaters and eventually to the bottom of the mixer making a mess. You have to constantly stop and scrape whatever you’re mixing back down off of the beaters

 It tips over onto the mixing attachments. It definitely makes using it a little difficult.

Top heavy and doesn’t sit solidly on the base

 I should have used the dough hooks as described in the manual, for thicker batters. With the helix beaters, the cream cheese kept "climbing" up the beater and causing a huge mess! *see photo* Once I finally got the batter to a softer, more liquid form, the beaters worked perfectly. They would be great for pancake batter or standard cake batter. Next time I make cheesecake, or any cream cheese dessert, I will be sure to start with the dough hooks as suggested so I don't have this problem again

 However once they are mashed down they do a great job of mixing. It’s just kind of loses its value when you have to use a manual potato masher and then use the mixer. I guess if it had some sort of metal blades attachments that it would probably be a five star for me.

This mixer works well and has a lot of power but my disappointment is: I make mashed potatoes regularly and the blades are not strong enough to break the potatoes up. The power of the mixer is excellent, but it just throws the potatoes all around, all over me the counter and the wall. However once they are mashed down they do a great job of mixing. Good but not perfect

Stylish and useful

 It comes with five speeds and a turbo boost button for each speed. Its a good looking mixer and it stores away nice and neat. Overall very satisfied.
