 Do I have to have both the “BATT” and “ACC” wires terminated? Doesn’t really make sense, but I give it a shot. BINGO! If there had been a mention somewhere, ANYwhere about this, I would’ve saved hours on my installation and I would’ve given a positive review. Or if the customer service phone line was manned and I didn’t get a busy signal, same thing.  I would buy this again, because I now know what steps and extras I need to purchase in order to be able to install it. I received the camera, read the guide that came with it, and went to the garage to begin installation. After mounting the cameras and running the wiring, I was now ready to actually wire the camera up to power. I did a quick test with the supplied cigarette lighter power cord and all was good

 Again, very happy with the camera. If you took the time to read this rather lengthy review, your installation should go very well and maybe you can give a positive review. Just hope that you don’t need customer service!

Great Camera but….

I've been looking into getting a dash cam but one of my relatives is known to steal stuff but no one believes me. He has stolen two of my GPS and once confronted about it, he denies all accusations. Due to this problematic person, I've been holding back in getting one because how expensive some dash cams are but I also want to protect myself in court in case I find myself in a car accident and need evidence. My budget is around $50 to $200 but I could increase that to accommodate for memory cards.

Dashcams that can upload straight to my phone?

Okay video quality. It has more glare than my old camera. I ordered a CPL filter to hopefully help with the glare. You can no longer format your memory card while in the dashcam

The BlackVue DR750X that is sold now is the DR750X-2CH Plus. I believe the non plus is now discontinued. The BlackVue DR750X-2CH Plus has built in parking mode. You do not need an external battery or any extra equipment for parking mode to work

I'm new to dashcams but have been diligently reading reviews. I'm fairly sure I want a 3 channel system as I feel it's most likely to capture something useful in the event my car is broken into or hit while I'm not in it. I was originally prompted to buy a dashcam after losing my truck to a distracted and speeding driver that hit me after I had backed out of my driveway but before I shifted into gear. She was abke to get away with saying I backed into her; and I deeply regret not investing in a dash cam due to the massive ripple effect this has had on my life.

Originally I thought 2 channels would be enough; but I am moving to a more densely populated area soon and feel like the potential for damage/theft is much higher. I'm hoping a good 3 channel system exists that has a good buffered parking mode; and might even allow notifications and remote viewing in the event it's triggered. I understand most of the available cameras are the same sensor and differences in quality come from processing and accessories like lenses. That's why I'm trying to focus more on features, and how usable those features have been for owners. I'm also wondering if at some threshold it's better to run two separate systems for 3ch coverage.

I'm also considering if a battery pack is worth installing; or if a dual battery setup would be more useful in the long run (I do a fair bit of car camping). During the winter there are periods of several days where I don't go out; so ideally I'd like to avoid making extra trips to charge the batteries and pull footage. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences and what you like/don't like about your system based on those experiences;

 The good news is your development team cut corners by taking the the lazy way out and saved a few bucks. The bad news is I'll never buy another product from you again because it should just work for what it cost me.

  Setting it up on my device was where is all fell apart. It's a case study in half-assed app that should have gotten a few people fired from the product team.  I spent as much time monkeying around in my phone's wifi and the app settings as I did running all the cables and hiding them, and it still doesn't work. I restarted the camera, the phone, connected and reconnected to the camera via wifi, but the app doesn't connect and I cannot change settings or download videos

Garbage app, difficult to set up, buyer beware

 The DR750X Plus is also capable of recording when the car is parked and powered down. Just like the DR750X, the X Plus can be connected straight to the fuse box with the BlackVue hardwiring cable that comes standard in the box. Parking recording is pre-buffered which means that for all of your motion or impact detected parking mode incidents, you're going to get the five seconds before and the five seconds after of the entire incident. Now because the DR750X does come with voltage monitoring just like the X before it, that means that it's automatically going to shut off if your car battery falls below a certain voltage

 However, if you're going from the X to the Plus, it's the same power cable. All the parking mode accessories are exactly the same between the DR750S to the X to the X Plus models, and that's because all the DR750X models are G-sensor based and ignition based for parking mode when you're hardwiring it using a hardwiring kit. The DR750X Plus still supports the Power Magic Pro as well as the B124X dash cam battery pack. And yes, like we said before, if you're upgrading from the S to the Plus and you've got a Power Magic Pro in your car, you can still reuse that because it's completely compatible with the X Plus model
