 This is the combo containing the front and the rear unit and no hardwire kit. Difference is related to the parking surveillance. Using the regular power source, coming from the cast cigar charger is going to guarantee recording for as long as the engine is on and you're driving. Should you prefer parking surveillance, the hardwire kit comes handy because you connect straight to the fuse box

 So at the end I'm a little disappointed, while undeniably the daytime footage is superb, one of the best you can get at this price range, the low light performance seems to be not up to par with the expectations and sadly the BlueSky CW4K is not a true 4K dash cam because it interplays the sensor data and upscales it. When we mix this with the missing H.265 encoding, it makes me think that BlueSky C could have done a better job with this dash cam, certainly a good device, but not great, and if we're getting tricked about something so important like the supported resolution, who knows which might be the next thing which is not quite right with it. So let me know what you guys think of this new dash cam and feel free to ask me anything about it in the comments below

 These announcements about the speed limits are as far as I understand disabled with the latest firmware, because won't work well in the United States, not bad to have them, but feels more like a marketing thing, make sure to trust more your own eyes and senses while you're driving. By the way, most of the features you can configure from the smartphone app as well, you can also download some of the recordings, but it's usually much faster to do that the old fashioned way, take the micro SD card out, just copy the files onto a PC. The GPS is embedded in the front unit, very accurate and locks position within seconds, most of the other features worked well, except the option to rotate the rear module, I guess this will soon appear as a firmware update too and that's the reason you're seeing the date and time upside down on the footage, speaking of which, it's over sharpened as we're used to see it from most dash cams, quite good amount of details and here's the comparison, side by side with one of my favorite dash cams which costs almost three times more, what do you think about the quality comparison? Let me know of your opinion in the comments below. I think the picture tuning is pretty nice, good colors, good contrast, well exposed concerning the daytime examples, should we talk about low light performance, this is where I can see some drawbacks, your first impression is that it's great, low noise levels, good lights, contrasty, but looks like when driving at speeds above 40 km per hour, the license plates are not readable, which at the end of the day is the dash cams primary task

Daughter had a run in with a road rage goober because she stopped at a red light today. Looking to get a camera to install into her car.  Only see a couple of brands in the first few threads and the reviews don't seem great. A handful of suggestions to research would be helpful. Thinking $300 range. Dual camera. Hardwired. Something that plates will be readable.  I will install.

First dashcam.

 However the 4K at 30fps just didn't work for me in clarity. I ended up returning this item as the 1080p resolution was clearer at 60fps Vs. 4K @ 30fps and I had purchased this solely for its 4k capabilities.  With full benefit of doubt to BlueSea, I haven't found any 4K cameras which are able to record at 60fps however I believe the best option is to have a 2K Capture at 60fps, which gives you smoother video and resolution higher than 1080p

 the 4K video is captured 3840 x 2160 at 30 fps, the fact that this cannot capture the 4k video at 60fps makes fast moving images pixelate and reduces overall clarity. It does have a 1080p capture at 30fps and 60fps, I found the 1080fps @ 60fps the best as it was smooth and crystal clear. However the 4K at 30fps just didn't work for me in clarity. I ended up returning this item as the 1080p resolution was clearer at 60fps Vs

Affordable camera with great features but.......

 That's right, 3840 by 2160 at a full 30 frames per second. It's the latest from Blue Sky Sea, and it's their B4K dash cam, and that's coming right up. For full disclosure, Blue Sky Sea did send me this unit to review, but no money was paid, and I was not told what to say for this review, and I'm allowed to give my honest opinion of it. And well, with that out of the way, let's talk about this dash camera

 This dash camera is unique in its design, not just the fact that it's a true native 4K, but that it sports a 3.16 inch IPS widescreen. So it doesn't obstruct your view at all, but it also gives the ease of use to see what it is recording. Speaking of recording, you have the ability to have the date, time, longitude, latitude displayed on the recording, also along with your miles per hour or kilometers per hour, depending on the region of the world that you live in

 And given the fact that now in 2021, it's so nice to see so many vehicles in the United States using dash cameras in their cars. And it's kind of like the old saying goes, video does not lie, especially in an unfortunate event that you get into a fender bender, or maybe you get to offer some footage to an insurance company because of an accident that you got to record. On a scale of one to five, am I worth it or not scale? I'll give this one a solid four. As usual, product links in the description below, and I'll see you on the next review

Can anyone help me with a new dashcam?

  Recording at max resolution causes stuttering in the video output. The output is still very usable, but it is not smooth.  It would have been nice to include an on/off power toggle/switch on the 12v power adapter.

what’s the best dashcam in your opinion?

Not as crystal clear as the description leads you to believe

 At the time of recording, the standard camera was only $25, which is really cheap, but the video quality was just so poor at night. No changing the exposure level I think was going to make that video quality good enough, in my opinion. If you just want that rear camera and you're not too concerned with that night quality, then $25 is really cheap and it gets you a rear channel for quite a great price. But I'm going to leave that choice up to you guys

 I prefer when cameras have a really good exposure level right out of the box. Now, the parking mode on this camera, as I said, is a buffered parking mode. So there are some limitations to this though. If you're using it as a single channel front camera only, then it's not really going to be a big deal, but if you are using the rear camera, that's where it's limited

 The buffered parking mode is only during the impact detection. So when it senses an impact, it's going to start recording 10 seconds prior to the impact and then continue recording for 20 seconds after. The problem with this feature is there is a limited memory space, so there's no buffered parking mode that can record to the rear camera. So you're only going to get that front camera even when you have the rear camera connected for that buffered impact detection
