As much as I love this eyeliner - I have worn it for years - I absolutely hate that the product dries up halfway before you've used it all. I always end up throwing away half the pot to replace it with new eyeliner that won't flake and will spread nicer, given me even coverage. Once I get my new pot of this eyeliner, the difference is immense between the new version vs. the 6 month old version

 It was recommended by a BB consultant and it's spot on. Not quite black, not quite brown, so universal. I haven't had this problem with other BB products: I use their Long-Wear Cream Shadow and have never had that wear out, I love their blush, and cream shadow stick.

 Once I get my new pot of this eyeliner, the difference is immense between the new version vs. the 6 month old version. Maybe not a big problem, but I always tense up a bit at the price, give the quality control is a little poor. I'd love it if Bobbi Brown either made a smaller tub of it or a better way to provide a good seal so the eyeliner would last longer

No longer recommend

I have been using this liner for more than 15 years. I love the consistency and staying power, but no longer like the color choices. I can get black and brown eyeliner anywhere! Bring back Violet, Hunter, Indigo, and Denim! Those were great colors that didn't look juvenile (like some other brands can).

I thought this would be great, but it doesn't give the pigment everyone said it would. I've even tried using different brushes because originally I thought that was the problem. I'll continue to use it until I'm out because of how much I paid for it, but it was rather disappointing.

I was hoping to find a waterline eyeliner that wouldn't run. This runs unless the waterline is also powdered with eyeshadow, just like my Inglot brand. OK but I hate the 2 step process.

I've been using Bobbie's gel eyeliner for years but I'll admit I was excited to try this formulation and ditch the mess and hassle of using a brush. This goes on smoothly and gives the exact same look as the get eyeliner in a pot so long as you are a smudger. If you like a sharp, fine line, this won't give you that. I'll admit it took me more than a month to figure out that there was a sharpener in the end, but it really needs some improvement

SO close to a 5-star

 The problem is that the consistency changes in a very few days or weeks after opening, the smooth application is lost and I end up with huge heavy lines because it is so difficult to make the application look neat. The final straw was the last jar I purchased, which was fine for exactly four days after opening. No matter how great the product when it's fresh, it's not worth this price for just a few days of application. And I should add, I'm very meticulous about closing jars and bottles immediately after use, so the product is not drying out because the container is left open

 There is always a but. As a 55+ my eyes are not as tight as they once were so I want to enhance what I have and I need a 'soft' black, not an intense black. I LOVED the Graphite color and this time round I see they no longer sell it!! I'm really upset. I would try other colors but as a stand-by I want my Graphite color - PLEASE!!! Its a wonderful product!!!
