 It's got a durable material here at the bottom that wraps around to the outsole SuperDuper flexible - so you're gonna be very, very cozy. The shaft itself is nice and stretchy for an easy on and off. Navy even included two handles and on the interiors there's actually a removable contoured footbed, so it's more comfortable than traditional rain boots.  On a positive note the bog boot is very comfortable! It was true to size for me too. Also not nearly as heavy as other snow boots, and very pretty! It's just a lie that they work down to -40F or anything below freezing really.

False advertising

I bought this pair, being the same size and style as the pair i have owned for the last 5 yrs. Same size though the new seemed to fit a little bit smaller then the pair i have, that could be partially due to the old pair being well broken in, although many reviews i read did say they seemed to be a half size smaller then previous. I ordered this pair then two days later found the same boot with the traction i was originally looking for for the same price so i ordered that pair and made my decision to return this pair after trying both on for comfort and size.

Fits much tighter on my lower foot, toe area than the last pair I bought. The finish is completely different as well. Very disappointed.

 DANG, returned.  3rd Pair: Tried a pair of Mucks Edgewater size 8. They were a Mens/Womens boot so even though the length felt good the boot felt loose on calf/leg/foot.  4th Pair: Bogs High Handle Classic in size 9

Even though many of the reviews said this boot ran a little small, I went ahead and ordered an 8 as all of my shoes are an 8 except one pair of Ariats that I had to get a 7.5 in. I was lucky enough to find my size on AWD at a great price so I had to try. Actually there wasn't a lot of options in a size 8 or 9 for these boots and I was a little bummed I didn't get to choose one of the cute colors

  1st Pair: left boot fit like a dream! Snug but not too small comfy like a wet suit! Right boot was HUGE! Checked the size, right boot womens size 10. Amazon as always was quick to make up for the mistake.  2nd Pair: Actual size 8's. Left boot fit awesome

 As other reviewers have stated, these definitely seem to be sized differently than they used to be. I ordered the same size as I had before, and this "classic" is exactly what I had before too. These are tighter on the top of the foot and around the ankle than my old pair, and they are a smidge shorter too. This was fine for me, because I actually needed a half size on my old pair and was just dealing with the boots being a little bit too big, but others that wear a true whole size may be unpleasantly surprised

The insole is removable which I always appreciate because I prefer to wear as flat of shoes as possible, and Bogs are the widest muck boot I've ever been able to find which is awesome for my super wide feet. A criticism of Bogs I've always had though, is that I've never agreed with their "-30F" claims

 Wear good socks! I wish Bogs would sell half sizes though since these are a little too large and my normal shoe size would have been too tight. Still, I liked them enough that I picked up a pair of Bogs for my daughter and now they're the only boots she wants to wear, too!

hefty and wide

 We have been having sub freezing weather and a bit of snow recently and unlike my old mud boots, these Bogs keep my feet nice and warm.  The only thing that I don't like is that they run a bit small and I can only wear my husband's thin, dress nylon socks with them. If I wear my usual thick winter socks with them they are so tight my foot feels squeezed. This is all around the foot not just the toes
