 Still, they're a big improvement over Bose's earlier SoundSport Free, which only had mono sound and one bud for calls. The QuietComfort earbuds effectively reduced ambient sound in the streets of New York during calls, and callers said they could hear me well. My voice was clear, and I could hear callers really well. I just wouldn't call the noise reduction stellar

 The Bose are right up there with the best sounding true wireless earbuds and go toe-to-toe. The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2, which retails for $300. They work well for a variety of music genres, but fans of hip-hop and EDM will find they have plenty of kick to their bass. They're also good for making calls, but maybe not quite as good as the AirPods Pro

 The AirPods Pro and popular Android-oriented buds like Samsung's Galaxy Buds Plus and Galaxy Buds Live are significantly smaller and lighter, and have really compact charging cases, and you gotta love that. I did find the QuietComfort earbuds comfortable to wear. They use Bose's new State EarMax tips that have an integrated wing. With the largest tip, I got a tight seal and really secure fit

 My voice was clear, and I could hear callers really well. I just wouldn't call the noise reduction stellar. It isn't on the level, for instance, of Bose's full-size noise-canceling 700 headphones. A lot of people ask about this, and you can use a single bud, either left or right, for calls or listening to music

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds review: Best noise canceling

-QC earbuds II wins by a long shot, it cancels much more noise than anything else in every frequency. It even beats ANC in headphones like airpods max, no contest.

 Also many more features with the apple earbuds, from 3 charging methods and find my features, Bose only has one which is cable charging. AirPods can completely turn off transparency or noise cancellation, Bose cannot. My biggest reason for ultimately choosing AirPods pro2 was the comfort, the Bose earbuds began to chaff my ears after about 1.5 hours, the AirPods I can go for 5+ before I notice any discomfort

Last thing I will mention, maybe it was just my set, but they were a bit buggy. What happened was, in 5 days of owning, they connected 6 times but played no audio, I had to set them back in their case and start over for that to remedy, also for the first 15 seconds after you put them in, the tap controls are very buggy, either severely delayed response or nos response, once they’ve been in Your ears for over a minute they work perfect

Best sound quality but……

 One good thing, though, is you can now, from both earbuds, listen to a single earbud at a time. Now, when you take one earbud out, whatever you're listening to will automatically pause, but if you hit play again, the other earbud, which is still in your ear, will continue playing what you're listening to. And then when you stick the second earbud in your ear, it will just continue playing normally. It's a nice feature

 The case is lighter and smaller than the previous version, but the earbuds individually give you six hours of battery life, with the case adding 18 more. You can quick charge these earbuds in 20 minutes for two hours of listening time, or get a complete charge in an hour. Again, better specs than before. A few things that are missing from the QuietComfort 2 case though is wireless charging, which I'm sure helped Bose cut down the size of the case considerably, and isn't a feature that I personally used very much

 And it really makes sense to upgrade to these new QuietComfort 2. For everyone else, if you're shopping for a pair of earbuds in about this price range and you've been looking at the Sony WF-1000XM4 or the Apple AirPods Pro, then you should really, really take a close look at these QuietComfort 2 because they have excellent battery life, great sound quality, great active noise cancellation, and they are just as small and as portable as the competition.  The first generation Bose QuietComfort earbuds had excellent sound quality and at the time, the best active noise cancellation you could get in earbuds. But they were physically very big and bulky and not very comfortable to wear. So to choose those over the competition, you really, really, really had to value active noise cancellation above all else. But now Bose have released the QuietComfort earbuds 2, which are physically smaller and have equal or better specs than the QuietComfort first generation

This is a major improvement on the first generation.

Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II Review: They Listened!

I just tried them at the gym and it was a total and utter failure. The ANC is 99% useless, makes zero difference. I imagine it may slightly mute an extremely quiet hum but does absolutely nothing to soften any other noise. The 'shake fit' is laughable, the buds were literally slipping out my ears if I bent down to pick up weights, or walked around

 time, Bose is top choice in speaker's not earbuds, that's why their selling point is noise cancellation they themselves never said they have the best earbuds, people expect them to be good because of their reputation, and do to their reputation this is why they expect $300. Dollar's for some mediocre earbuds

Bose QC 2 has the same selling point as the Bose QC 1, the noise cancellation, which is top choice, the sound quality with the app is alright although the QC 1 has the strongest bass, everybody thinks that Bose is number 1 for bass quality, that's 100 percent illusion, most of the top tier earbuds are supported by their app, and it's all based on your adjustments, to me, all the presets EQ s are weak and low volume, you have to be the engineer and custom your preferred sound because straight out of the box none of them is real impressive, however I did compare the QC 2 to the Soundcore liberty 3 pro's and the JBL tour plus they both out performed Bose in sound quality, deeper bass, loudness all around better sound, the best way to enjoy the JBL tour plus is to listen to them with ambient sound off, because they will rattle with the noise cancellation on, Bose QC 1 and 2 are still good earbuds they're just a little over priced and their over the ear headphones don't have the best bass either, The Skullcandy EVO is top choice all day everyday, they come with with a adjustable bass slider, and in movie mode they become brighter and maintain a strong bass presence with a loud volume, the only rational reason to really buy the Bose QC is really need the noise cancellation, that's it that's all, that's why they named them QC, but all the major brands have some form of noise reduction with a better sound and affordable, a lot of people say Sennheiser 3s is the best earbuds, once again another illusion, they sound good but the earbuds itself has a lot of issues that they do not know how to fix, for myself JBL and Soundcore is my go to earbuds for any occasion and their performance is top notch and they stand the test of

 Like their predecessor, the QuietComfort Earbuds 2 are splash proof with an IPX4 rating. They also have similar touch controls with a swipe gesture for volume control that I liked. Bluetooth flavors, these are equipped with Bluetooth 5.3, they use the AAC and SPC audio codecs but currently have no support for Qualcomm's aptX audio codec for multi-point Bluetooth pairing

 Bose has also developed a new custom tuned sound calibration system to not only optimize noise cancelling, but the sound quality for your particular ears. Bose says that every time you place the buds in your ears, a proprietary tone is played and a microphone measures your ear canal's acoustic response. While the drivers appear to be the same or very similar to those found in the original QuietComfort earbuds, Bose reps told me that thanks to the custom tuned technology, the sound is noticeably improved with more nuance, clarity, depth, and better accuracy. Custom tuned also improves how natural and lifelike the transparency mode sounds

 While the original QuietComfort Earbuds featured excellent noise cancelling and very good sound quality, they were pretty hefty and protruded from your ears. The new earbuds each weigh a little less than 0.25 ounces or 7 grams according to Bose. Still not svelte, but significantly smaller

Bose QuietComfort EarBuds II: better design, better performance

Hey everyone,. I recently tried bose quietcomfort but not impressed by them nor can justify spending $280 CAD before tax. However, Jabra 85t is now on sale for $170 CAD before tax.

My second criticism is the noise canceling, when put into "Aware" mode, seems to rely on having multiple sound levels to distinguish background noise from other noise. Background chatter is only made quieter if someone is talking to me, and then gets louder when the conversation ends, which results in the background noise oscillating in volume. Also loud sounds (like a train horning its arrival) seem to screw around with it a bit.

My only previous ANC products are also Bose, but over the ear headphones. I was a little suspect about earphones but my goodness they are incredibly effective. The comfort from being able ot pick between earbud and stability band sizes is a huge gamechanger - normally I just accept that earphones will hang loosely in my ears, but these can accomplish a secure and very comfortable fit.

My third criticism is that the left earbud seems reasonably prone to dropping the connection. I've had it for about a month, and about 3-4 times I've needed to put both earbuds in to redo the pairing. It seems most prone to doing this if I take one earbud out to better hear the surrounding world, where when I put that earbud back in it struggles to pair it again.

Pros: sound is great, and you can fiddle around with the balance in the Bose app (I increase the mid and trebles from the default). Comfort as mentioned before is incredible, although I have yet to have worn them any longer than ~2 hours. Battery as far as I can tell is more than good enough for my usage (listening to music and audible books during my commute, so about ~3 hours a day).

Great earbuds with great fit, average case

 Like if you want to use just the left earbud, as soon as you put that right earbud back in the case, it just disconnects. Now, I don't know why they do that, but it's just something you're going to have to work around with if you want to use these earbuds. And again, you can do this with the right earbud, like you can have the left earbud in the case and the right one will still work, just not the other way around. So if that's a use case that you find yourself in a lot, then maybe something to consider

 Like they were just so far ahead of the competition that it just wasn't really worth considering any other option. And I still remember going to airports back in that time and not being able to look anywhere without seeing a pair of quiet comfort headphones on somebody's head. But it's been quite a while since then and now it seems like pretty much every manufacturer has a pair of wireless noise canceling earbuds or headphones. And what's more is that they're all pretty good and slowly Bose has sort of kind of settled into the middle of the pack

 What is going on guys, Jesse here. So if you're like me, you remember a time where Bose was pretty much the only name of the game when it came to active noise cancellation. Like they were just so far ahead of the competition that it just wasn't really worth considering any other option. And I still remember going to airports back in that time and not being able to look anywhere without seeing a pair of quiet comfort headphones on somebody's head

 But with these, even if I try to stuff them in here, they will fit in there, but there's just no way that I can zip this up without scratching the earbuds or anything like that. So yeah, this is just still a little bit too big for me. Sounds reasonably natural, just still definitely kind of like muffled. Definitely still not as good as the AirPods Pro, which are still, in my opinion, the kings in this arena, but still very good
