Recommendations for a bass lover

Build quality-wise the Px8 are the best by far, they really do have a very sturdy yet luxurious feel to them. The Bose have the worst build quality, they're built to be as lightweight as possible in the name of comfort but it leaves the plastic feeling very cheap and thin. The Momentums are the most dissapointing though, I'm not a fan of the shift from metal and leather to canvas and plastic.

Noise cancellation on the Px8 is exactly the same quality as on the Px7 s2, but the Bose and Sony's all have much more effective noise cancellation. The Momentums were only slightly less effective than these. The Sony's are the best at blocking out environmental noise, Bose was the best at blocking people's voices.

 If comfort is your top priority, go Bose QC45. Noise cancelling matters more than anything else? Go Sony (except if you want to block out voices, like in an office setting. In that case pick Bose). If you use a Samsung phone or Spotify, just get whatever's on sale for the cheapest

 There's also an indicator LED that flashes or illuminates a solid white to let you know the status of the Bluetooth connection and the battery. Next, there's an easy-to-find ribbed button for controlling playback in between dedicated buttons for raising and lowering the volume. Now, I listened for how hard it would hit and how well-controlled and precise those big bass hits were. At about 325, the tempo picks up, and the bass guitar plays a great riff in the background of the rest of the instruments

 And it was actually incredible just how well the PX8s retrieved the subtle details from his bass guitar and handled it with such finesse and precision. It makes this song just so much to listen to with its broad presentation of lower frequencies, especially when you have a lot of natural instruments playing all at once. Again, compared to the PX7S2s, the PX8s still have a slight advantage, feeling a bit more resolute and precise in timing. Again, it's something that you have to listen for a little bit, and if you are at home with no other distractions, these little differences will show up a little bit easier for you than if you're out and about with distracting noises around you, even if you have that noise canceling turned on

 Again, compared to the PX7S2s, the PX8s still have a slight advantage, feeling a bit more resolute and precise in timing. Again, it's something that you have to listen for a little bit, and if you are at home with no other distractions, these little differences will show up a little bit easier for you than if you're out and about with distracting noises around you, even if you have that noise canceling turned on. The sonic gains you get with the PX8s over the PX7S2s, well, some might say they're minor, but they're definitely there. Upgrading to the carbon comb driver is a huge advantage

A Worthy Upgrade? Bowers & Wilkins Px8 Headphone Review

 Very comfortable to wear, my ears don't become too hot after a while. Does it worth the price? I'm really not sure but leaning toward "no".

Good headphone but with issues

 The sound stage is pretty wide. It's not right at your ears. It's wider than something like the Sony WH-1000XM5 but not quite as wide as something like the Focal Batiste. But I would definitely get these headphones if you listen to a variety of genres

 The ear cups on the PX8 headphones are deep wide and plush. In my opinion they feel a lot more comfortable than the PX7S2. Now I have had no issues with my ears touching the inside of the ear cups with either the PX8 or the PX7S2. Both headphones are also tilted on the inside very similar to the Bose line of headphones for comfort

 This is where you'll need those headphones. Let me know what you guys think in the comments below. So what do you guys think? The tracks you just heard were played at 16 bit 44.1 or at CD quality

 Now it's not going to be as crisp as something like Apple's AirPods Max but the transparency mode would certainly get the job done when needed. As far as sound leakage the test you just heard was conducted at 50% volume at approximately 24 inches away. Now this is really good for a train setting, a plane setting, or an environment where people are working in close proximity. The PX8's get very loud but the headphones do a really good job controlling the sound leakage

Bowers & Wilkins PX8 - Honest Review (Headphones ...

 Great design and build quality. But the fit was small on my ears and tight on my head - I do have an above average size head given I’m 6’3”. Sound quality was good but sound staging was slightly better than average.

Nice but not $700 nice.

 On the flip side of that, the PX8 also handled simple acoustic or say solo instrument tracks equally as well. The low frequencies the PX8 can generate are very deep. They hit immersively hard, but they're also very controlled at the same time. I found that they complemented and not overpowered our testing tracks, whether that be hip hop, electronic, alternative, things like that

 The build quality is genuinely very impressive and they sounded excellent. And I found these to be an extremely comfortable pair of headphones to use. However, at face value, it can be very easy to just write these off as another pair of expensive headphones that don't really offer anything truly groundbreaking. And truthfully, on some aspects, you wouldn't be wrong for thinking so

 Bowers and Wilkins are back with their second premium headphone release in 2022. Launched a few months back in June, the PX7S2s were amongst the best headphones that we've tested on our channel, but we're back again with these, the PX8s. A step up in performance that also comes with a step up in cost, but are they really that much better and do they justify the price jump over the PX7S2s? Let's find out. So these PX8s are available for a fairly pricey £599, over £200 more than the PX7S2s which come in at £379

 With a price tag of £599 and plenty of strong competition, these PX8s landed with a wealth of expectation. And if we're honest, they met it somewhat. The build quality is genuinely very impressive and they sounded excellent. And I found these to be an extremely comfortable pair of headphones to use

Bowers & Wilkins Px8 Headphones Review: Worth The Price?

 My favorite headphones are all open back and include my classic Sennheiser HD-650s, and the stunning Audeze LCD-X. I also have a top of the line pair of in ear headphones from Technics that has a massive soundstage.

 They don't get hot, they don't clamp too tightly, and the pads are just plush enough to make a great seal. These are easily the most comfortable on ear bluetooth headphones I have ever worn. They also come with a nice little carrying case.

Let me get this right at the top. To me, the sound of the new Bowers & Wilkins is good, not amazing, but good. They tune it more for the commercial crowd over audiophiles, and that's fine. It sounds over-processed at times

The noise cancelation is enough for me. It's not as strong as Sony or Bose's offerings. I don't fly often and when I do I tend to bring in ear headphones, so it's not as important to me.

 The others, you kind of have to guess what they are. I'm not going to do a massive deep dive now into the PX8 sound, although I will be comparing these against other headphones in the near future. So make sure you subscribe and hit that bell. All I'm going to say is that if you spend £599 on these headphones, when it comes to sound, you are not going to be disappointed at all

 They're basically the PX7S2s, completely refined and made to sound pretty much perfect. Are these worth £220 more than these? Well, I think if you've got the budget to spend and you do want the absolute best of the best, which, if you're looking at a brand like Bowers and Wilkins, you're probably in that mindset anyway. I think in that instance, it's worth it. On the other hand, if it feels a bit of a stretch, then you can save yourself quite a bit of money and get yourself a pair of PX7S2s

 These are about £220 more expensive than these and they look pretty similar. So the big question is, what do you get for that £220 extra? In the UK the PX8s cost £599 which, as mentioned earlier, makes them quite a bit more expensive than the PX7S2s. It also places them squarely in the expensive consumer headphone bracket. And yes, it makes them more expensive than the AirPods Max
