So, let's see how the Breville performs with the French fry cutter to put a potato in here, you could just worry I'm going to try one first and we're going to let it rip. Here we go one potato, two potato three potato: four: french fries. Oh interesting cut on the french fries

 There'S a lot of pieces that are a little I don't know just not cut well so french fry color cutter. I think I give it a see. Oh that's! I guess thumb sideways. Okay, so now we're going to grate some cheese and just in the cleaning we just had a little bit of a trouble, a little bit of potato got stuck in here and I had to get out with a toothpick

 So we're going to put this basically on a four and what you do is going to open the lid we're going to put this on the center spindle here and then we're going to put our blade down in there. Okay and then we're going to put the lid on and we're just going to. These are some really nice zucchinis that we're just going to slice. So I'm going to take the ends off I've already thoroughly washed them and we're going to put them

 The parts have "dirt catching" shapes for which you need some kind of long brush to really clean well. Rather than cap stems, they are hollow and open. And if you like to "clean as you go," please pay special attention to number three; Third, as others have reported, DO NOT try to take the blade out after running the machine. IT GETS SUPER HOT!!! "The burned hand teaches best," they say

Great for a short time

  The gadget box that comes with it is very nice but be warned that it's enormous. I have enough room at the back of the counter under cabinets for the machine itself (and I keep the steel blade in there as its normal configuration, because that's still mostly what it's used for) but the big accessory box is just too big; it's claimed a big chunk of an overhead cabinet. That's OK for me but again it's a thing.  Oh, one other significant design difference from other food processors I've had

I have not conducted a systematic breakdown of the reasons I think this is the best food processor I've ever had, but it is. The vast majority of my food processor use has always been the main sharp steel blade for chopping vegetables and making pastry dough. This one is better at that than any of the Cuisinarts (2, back to the ancient CFP-5 in the 70s) and KitchenAids (also 2) I've had. On top of that, the slicing ability of the Breville is absolutely vastly superior to any other food processor I've had, in particular the adjustable slicing disk

Mostly wonderful piece of equipment, but not entirely (mini bowl design is critically flawed)

 I understand that this part is durable because it is metal, and I am all for durability, but seriously, this is horrible engineering. On the top of the lid, there's also a metal part that makes contact with that spindle, and it gets very hot as well. Both have burned my hand.  My second complaint is the whine the machine makes sometimes

 If you need high capacity, if you want chopping and slicing that is second to none, the Breville is the way to go. That said, Breville as a brand isn't as reliable as it should be. It's not just the flakyness after four years, in the second month I had it, I dropped the lid, which didn't just break, it shattered. Like many other people report, Breville did not handle spare parts availability well

 So after mathing on it real hard I decided the Breville BFP800 was a better value.  Then it arrived.  And it was BIG. HUGE

Folks say the BFP800 is big. Well it is, in an 800 lbs gorilla kind of way. It has a way of making small-ish kitchen counters look like something Barbie would own.  So let me cut to the chase, after reading uncountable reviews I decided to splurge and buy the "best" and I wish I had not

They said it was big, but I didn't know it would be BIG big....

Really heavy duty machine, but frustrated with dough blade

 The speed and consistency is unbelievable. With the 5.5" wide feeder, I was able to put 3 (medium) potatoes in at once and they were all sliced, perfectly, gorgeously, in the blink of an eye. Very impressive

  So my overall review. This is a terrific food processor but it is very heavy and very large. Of course, this adds to its sturdiness but it limits the ease of removing it from my cabinet. It is just too large to keep out on the counter
