I have used Cannon products prior and find that this product with software is not user friendly. Scanner difficult to connect, printing more than one task drops off and does not store it or very very slow to release. Using alternate toner the machine difficult to allow. Cannon toner way too expensive fore what you buy and wish I went with another option

Product not user friendly

My only concern is the scanner randomly won't work saying it can't connect to my win 10 pro computer. It even does this when it is a wired connection. I can usually get it working by playing around with it but who wants to play around to get a scanner to work. Cannon needs to release a patch or update or remedy this common problem

Printing can become a BIG HASSLE.

 I printed up five sheets from a photo using this printer and five from my Brother color laser printer (HL-3140CW). Both printers were at their default settings, and I used the color adjust feature on this Canon machine right before printing copies. In blind tests, all my available family members agreed that the Canon copies were washed out compared to the Brother copies. The Brother copies were darker and more vibrant

 The difference was very obvious.  In sum, this printer largely does its job, but I hated the quick set-up guide, and the color print quality doesn’t match that of a less expensive Brother laser printer. I'm deducting a star for these reasons.

 Here’s an example of the difference: Image Capture makes it crystal clear that its default is to scan PDFs as separate sheets. Combining sheets just requires checking a box in the main dialog box. The interface for this printer, however, requires finding another dialog box in a separate location.  As far as print quality, my family and I did a test

Good machine with some annoying issues

 Ow I am getting an error message that it can’t find the magenta cartridge. Not sure why. I put a new cartridge in. Didn’t fix it

We have had more trouble with this printer and it is not 2 years old yet. Ink cartridges are huge and expensive. And hard to replace. Right

 Working great now. This printer is a bit large if your using for a home office like me I prefer something more compact but I wanted an automatic feeder and color printer this is the best one I could find in my price range. Overall I would recommend this printer.

Canon support gets A+

 Color print quality is just ok but we just switched from inkjet and inkjets are better at color blending and shading. The touch screen is good but is slow and has a lag. Infuriating time disabling double-sided printing which is a default and requires super advanced troubleshooting to turn off.
