I'd love any recommendations for a good printer - ideally one that also does a nice job for photos as well. Bonus points if you are in Canada and can recommend something that I can get locally (often the web recommends printers from the US that we can't seem to get here!) TIA

Printer recommendation?

Extremely difficult to set up.  Excellent print quality.

You don’t need to bother with 3rd party ink. Use canon everyday photo paper and the colors will turn out right. Don’t use 3rd party ink, the oem refills are already really cheap. A better printer would be the Canon G620 which has 6 different (better) inks

I don't know how to word this but I need one that isn't going to shut down because I didn't use the factory ink or begins it's predetermined and inevitable demise the moment I open the box. 

I don't print a lot so maybe 100 sheets a month.

I would like to print photos of the grandkids but that isn't a must. 

I would like options for usb as well as wireless 

I'm open to either ink jet or laser but I don't think any supertank is for me. (Don't tell Shaq)

Any advice would be appreciated

Which printer should I get

 Which means I'm always using twice as much ink as is necessary. I really resent this ploy to get us to spend more money on replacing ink.

 It scounds like it's going to launch itself off of my desk. And I don't know what bothers me more, the noise level or the fact that there is no option to print in "draft" quality.
