2021 CAPiTA Snowboards | THE EQUALIZER by Jess Kimura

 It's not super friendly if you haven't been in the park before and that's kind of new to you, but you know, it's definitely playful enough to take through the pipe, to hit some medium to large jumps. I feel like it would hold together and it's stable enough in landings and it has some good pop and energy in the board to make it really fun to plan some more advanced freestyle features. It is definitely geared more towards the advanced expert rider. It's not a super friendly forgiving board

 It's not taking things mellow. It does want to turn it up a notch and kind of ride down the mountain. And the flex is just soft enough to give it a little bit of a playful personality, but it's stiff enough that it's going to absorb some bumps and chunder. It's not an extremely damp board, but it is pretty damp for having a five and a half out of 10 flex

 And as you can see, it's somewhat directional. The stance is set back slightly and then it gives a little bit of a directional nose on it and it's rated a five and a half out of 10 flex. So it is a snappy responsive flex, but it's not too stiff that it feels extremely aggressive when you're riding it, but it definitely has plenty of energy in the board and it's super damp when you're riding it. It comes with pretty high quality centered base that's supposed to stay nice and fast, but it should provide a nice fast glide for you

 So it has positive camber between the feet and then it goes to a flat section on the tail with a little bit of reverse rocker and kind of a very abrupt kick tail. And then on the nose, it goes from the positive camber to a rocker to a very abrupt kind of kick tail on the nose. And as you can see, it's somewhat directional. The stance is set back slightly and then it gives a little bit of a directional nose on it and it's rated a five and a half out of 10 flex

2020 CAPiTA Equalizer - YouTube

I demoed this board at Loveland for WWSRA Demo Days and had to size down from my normal 150-152 range due to limited availability so I found myself on a really surfy, flexy board on which I had a ridiculous amount of fun. I felt like I was on a snow skate until I tried her on a steep section- even on a shorter board than usual I was pleasantly surprised at the control and turn initiation during large, sweeping turns. If this board ends up in our demo fleet I will for sure try her out in the correct size to see what she's like when properly sized.
