 It does just about whatever you want for a powder board. This board features Capita's powder profile camber. Now this is a flat into a rocker with the whop-pow tips. Basically everything's set back so when you're going down the hill, you're going to get better float up front and then you got these tip kicks that are just designed for riding pow

 It's going to plow through them. The only spot you're probably going to feel any vibration or chatter is in the tail and that's going to be so minuscule that you don't even need to worry about it. Overall, this board is super stable and it has that directional flex that you want for going out and slashing pow and free riding. This is a board designed for hauling ass and popping off natural features

 So what you're going to see with this board is that when you sink the tail in fresh snow, it acts as a lever point where it just pops. This board has a lot of snap out of the tail due to the camber profile and the flex pattern and what it's intended for. This is a board for going straight, popping off a cliff, landing, doing a couple turns, popping over a small tree, popping some pillows. That's just the way you need to understand it

 Overall, this board is super stable and it has that directional flex that you want for going out and slashing pow and free riding. Soon + question for you SuperDOA owners, how’d you like the board? I made a mistake of buying one last season without test riding and I couldn’t get on with it at all. Interested to hear others opinions

 After buying this, for the first time I can tell how big of a difference it is to get on a powder board. Man this thing is good! The only thing I need to work on is my weight. Apparently the heavier you are the longer board you need and I'm not sure I can handle more than 155 with my height. But in general very good board

2021 CAPiTA Snowboards | NAVIGATOR

Sure it was 30°C out today, but I decided it would be a perfect day for a new board! Capita Spring Break Powder Racers with Burton Cartel bindings

 I was riding the Navigator with medium union force bindings with a stance width of around about 21 inches, set to positive 21 degrees on the front and positive 9 on the back. I'm 6 foot tall, weigh 155lbs and was riding at Big White in BC, Canada. The conditions that I filmed in were ok, the groomers were fairly hard packed with some soft snow and softer, chopped up snow at the top. For me, flexing flat board, the pop was a little better than I expected

5 out of 10 flex, still with the sintered base, still with the dual core and carbon fibre beams, but it has bi-axe fibre glass, so just two directions, which might be what makes it the touch softer than the older one. Now although most of the features are similar, or the same between these two models, the biggest change is that since 2021 it's changed profiles to give it a large camber section while still keeping the big rockered nose.  Hey, it's Locky here with a review of the Capita Navigator. Although a few things have changed from this model to the current one, I'll explain the differences and why the new one is probably a better board, at least for someone like me. The Navigator I was riding has a 6 out of 10 flex, a sintered base, a dual core, carbon fibre beams, tri-axe fibre glass, but most importantly a flat to rocker profile. I rode this board at Copper Mountain on a spring pow day so there was heavy wet pow, dust on crust, you had crunchy groomers, ice chopped chunder, little bit of warmer temps, I rode it with my Rome Black label bindings and my K2 Thraxxas boots

 When you're on edge you feel locked in. What's nice is that inlaid cork dampener just absorbs that chatter so you can feel a little more smooth going in the lumpy terrain and just hold that edge a little bit better. Basically, this board can carve if you know what you're doing. Who's this board for? The resort ripping powder hound that wants to carve on a groomer as they get back to the chairlift

The 2023 Capita Navigator Snowboard Review

 When it comes to sizing, I think I would have gone up one more size because this 58 just felt a little small for my weight, fine for my boot size, but if I had known it was really this soft and playful, I would have gone to the next size. I think it's a 60 or 61 or 62, that would have been the call for me, and I would have had no problem turning and managing it, even with my size nine boots. The camber profile is camber from basically the tail to a little bit past the front binding, and then rocker into the nose, and it has a pretty camber-ish feel. It's not totally unforgiving, but it does have some consequence in the tail

 I rode this pre-season with Union Expeditions, my drift boards, and my Burton Tourist boots in about knee-high powder. Really good day. And then when the resorts opened, I got this on some pretty hard groomers and some pretty decent groomers. To give you a short summary, the Capita Navigator has a tapered directional shape, but more of a mountain freestyle flex, and a very interesting feel underfoot

 The camber profile is camber from basically the tail to a little bit past the front binding, and then rocker into the nose, and it has a pretty camber-ish feel. It's not totally unforgiving, but it does have some consequence in the tail. Over the nose, it's fine. The front foot, it's not that catchy, but the back foot can be a little catchy

 It's semi-technical. It borders on being semi-locked in and stable, so maybe not the best board for a beginner intermediate, but great for that intermediate advanced to advanced to expert rider that wants a softer, playful ride. Now let's get into this flex, and I'll show you what I mean. It just bends
