 It's a 150 sides so it just fits really nicely in your hand. You know it's not a full 200 size reel if the hand nicely. just a great looking great feeling. Real drag was super smooth

 Today was the deal breaker, right? I Fell in love with this reel today. It's it's but it's by far one of my new favorite bait casting reels. But let's take a little closer look. I'll give you guys some zoomed in shots and some of the key features on this reel

 The spool I mean it's all I can say this reel is is great I Believe it, it's a 279 at retail under $300 I think that Shimano is. You know they have a lot of higher end, more expensive reels and I think a lot of their technologies are trickling down into the middle price point reels. Those are great thing about this reel. It has that infinite braking system on its side

 This is a loot cloth with an SJ from Dirty Jigs and we were fishing for spotted bass. The water is pretty dirty, pretty murky, muddy, and the fish are fairly shallow up underneath tree branches and so I spent most the days skipping this little jig up underneath those branches and reeling. Today was the deal breaker, right? I Fell in love with this reel today. It's it's but it's by far one of my new favorite bait casting reels

Looking to get another reel and was deciding between the SLX DC or the SLX MGL 6.3:1. Not sure which would be the better option as I can’t find solid info on the two models. Investing in small upgrades on the reel is not out of the question especially if it would affect the final decision on the reel.

DC or MGL

 When casting and tilted to the left there was no problem. However, when casting and leaning to the right it made friction noises and would stop way prematurely. I'm sure that not all reels did this, but it didn't seem to out perform all of my other baitcasters for the price.

I'm going expride over dobyns, unless you're dropping $400 then I feel dobyns puts better components in the rod.

 Has good line capacity. Nothing bad you could say about this one. I didn't read any bad "real" reviews before my purchase and now i see why

<p>EDIT: My experience with them was alright other than my Scorpion DC has side-to-side play in the handle which I have posted about in the past. I have heard from others that is movement is either normal/intentional or not intentional. I also wonder about the handle knobs on the reel as others say &quot;Power grip&quot; whereas mine doesnt. It&#39;s an HG model so maby the XG says it only, not sure, but I am just worried about the legitimacy of the site.</p>

I personally don't have one but I have a Shimano metanium and my friend has the chronarch. I casted them both to try them out and absolutely hated the chronarch the metanium is only $60 cheaper on Amazon and it casts way better

Don't buy

These reels are trash. First one grinding, second one drag wheel and tension knob is locked.
