 So on the good side, start with very nice size. It's a relatively compact knife here. We are coming in blade length-wise under 3 inches, uncontroversially, and the weight on this guy is actually pretty light as well because we have actually substantial internal skeletonization of the liners, so we come in at 2.75 ounces for just under 3 inches a knife

 I mean, if we put this guy into the pocket here next to my kind of standard for everyday carry, this guy comes in substantially smaller than the Spydeco Delica, well maybe not substantially, but smaller, just maybe a little tiny bit thicker and a large part of that is the thick of Micarta. So that's an absolutely beautiful thing. This is a knife that is very, very easy to carry, and especially with this deep carry clip, yeah, that makes things very, very nice. So that's good

 The clip needs recessed. Metal box liners aren't great for the eye or the hand, in my opinion, and the lanyard hole is ugly, just saying. It's prettier now, but overall, honestly, I'm pretty impressed. I am happy with this knife

 Next thing, the fit and finish on this guy are actually quite good for being a random Chinese knife. I mean, you can see here, that's by the way slightly unfair, but you can see here there's a very nice hollow grind on this blade here, but it actually comes to a very nice, like it's polished, the blade is polished-like, but it's not over-polished. It's not too smoothed out, which is a great thing. You have the very nice sort of, looks like a bead blast on the liners, or maybe a tumble or something like that

Good knife, but flawed execution of the button lock

 So that's what you're looking at for materials. Not super duper thick on the blade stock. Let's go ahead and turn that on and get it zeroed out properly. I'm going to guess less than, I bet maybe 115,000s

 You can see there, for those of you who are familiar with the Para 3. What are we looking at for materials? So in this case, we're looking at the Ebony wood scales and steel liners, and then we have a D2 blade. Actually, it doesn't say there, but I'm pretty sure it does in the box. Let's pull the box here real quick

 This is a great option, right? And it's a hundred percent worth the money you're going to pay for it. Me personally, I would go with the G10 version because you're going to get the exact same performance. If you want to spring for the ebony wood, then you know, great. Like I said, there's going to be links down in the description for all of these different versions

Civivi Elementum - Overview and Review

First time I've got the collection together for a family photo!

Not sure why all the youtubers push Civivi I just returned the civivi elementum button lock. Its sharp as hell but the build quality is flimsy. The micarta scales were so thin if you tightened the 2 rear screws too much it would warp the scale off of the liner. Take a very close look at the button lock where it contacts the rear tang of the blade

 If you want a nice Chinese knife at a cheap price Petrified Fish is a better deal. Civivi - WE knives are over priced.

 The plunger is milled down less than a 1/16 inch this will fail before a liner lock would. Civivi knives are all show and no go. If you want a nice Chinese knife at a cheap price Petrified Fish is a better deal. Civivi - WE knives are over priced

Over priced for a Chinese knife

 The Elementum comes in D2, CPM S35VN, a few 20 CV models, and a few stainless steel models, as well as some other blade materials. But pretty much if you can dream it, there's an Elementum out with the exact format that you want. For handle materials, the most common is the G10, and this is what I'm holding right here. This is the natural G10

 It is so nice to have a knife that fits in my pockets and my lifestyle. If you're looking for a budget EDC or you're new to knives and you don't know where to start, there is a Civivi Elementum out there for you.  It's actually the blade HQ exclusive, and I'm a little biased, but I really like the feel of G10. It also has micarta, and there's some brushed copper and brass, and even titanium. This particular model has a flipper opener, and it runs on ball bearings, which I think are so smooth and adjustable. One thing that I love about the Elementum is that all of them come really fine tuned out of the box

 As a woman and a super masculine in industry, I really appreciate being able to have a knife that fits in my pockets, even the tiny ones, the fake ones. And I don't have to worry about finding the perfect knife to fit my lifestyle, the Elementum just fits in. And it helps me be more a part of this industry. And I highly recommend this as a starter blade for anybody getting into everyday carry, for anybody getting into knives, for your mom, for your dad, for anyone who just needs a knife but doesn't need to think too hard about carrying it

CIVIVI ELEMENTUM The Best Budget EDC? | Knife Overview

Overall if i were you i’d start with a Civivi Elementum basic D2 model for $50 and see how you like a solid EDC knife. That’s a knife that could easily last you the rest of your life and could even be passed down to your kids with proper care and maintenance. If your budget is a bit bigger i’d look into the WE Kitefin, very similar knife with some upgrades.

Hey, does anyone know how to fix a liner lock that slipped to the other side of the blade while the knife was open? I can't figure out how to do it. It's no big loss, just a brand of chineseum knife that is decent enough to be worth it's $7. 

Also, I have a feeling I already know, but more well established knives like We, CRKT and Civivi... you can trust their materials, right? Would you? Do you guys find those brands to be reliable? I think they probably are legit, just do not want to buy and be disappointed later with some fake D2. Looking for my first "real" nice assisted folder.

Not bad but not great

If you like Spyderco check out their more affordable line called Byrd. I always recommend Civivi Elementum or an Ontario Rat 2 for budget blades. They both are staples in the EDC community.

Otherwise I love it. I have been eyeing some Spydercos because I like the style but they are a tad bit too expensive for me. So if you could recommend me some quality knifes that are easy to open one-handed that would be awesome.
