The Cooks Standard Stainless Steel Roaster with Rack, 14 By 12-Inch is made of heavy gauge stainless steel that provides even heat conduction and is durable. V-shaped stainless steel rack allows for even browning, faster cooking, and collecting liquids/fat for sauces. Riveted stainless steel handles are deep for a secure grip. Flat bottom can be used for roasting, baking, and can be placed on stovetops. Not Induction compatible. Works on gas, electric, glass ceramic, halogen, etc. Oven safe to 500F and dishwasher safe. Inside measures: 14 by 12 by 3 inches. Outside measures: 16 by 12 by 5.5 inches.

This stainless-steel roasting pan turned out great, evenly browned chicken and potatoes; it’s not tri-ply, so it doesn’t conduct heat quite as quickly, but it’s so thick that it still retains and controls heat well. Its V-shaped rack, also made from stainless steel, cradled the chicken nicely, though it slipped around a touch in the pan. Just a few small quibbles: It’s on the heavy side, so it can be a little unwieldy to lift. And while its handles are big enough to grip comfortably, they rise surprisingly high above the pan; our wrists bumped into them and got burned when we took the pan out of the oven.

 Let me get this plated and everything and that's it. Hi everyone and we're back to the review of the roasting pan. Well I'm going to do now is take it off the rack and put it on the side. so I take it off now it didn't stick to the to the rack which is a good thing I had problems with my other roasting pan with Iraqi used to stick to the rack

 oh oh I can get it for less Oh you can't buy it for that so that's why I don't give out pricing on any product that I buy. Do your own research, do a a web search for the best price that you can get usually I find Amazon is pretty good on their prices I bought this. It's a cook standard and it's a stainless steel of roasting rack that comes with a stainless steel rack - I didn't buy nonstick I don't really care for nonstick products. eventually they don't hold up I like stainless steel

 oh this is this has some weight to it. It's a it's a pretty heavy design I'm gonna take it out of the box now. I've already taken this out of the box previously because I wanted to take a look at it and it came well packed. This box was inside another box when I received it from Amazon when it was shipped

Cooks Standard Roasting Pan With Rack Review

 Debating whether or not to return it because it is extremely heavy. I can only imagine how heavy it would be with a 10 pound roast cooking in it. Also the handles are too high. You probably need to raise or remove one of the racks to accommodate the high handles

Almost perfect, but it will have to do for now, it is the best I could find. If you buy big turkeys, get the large pan.

Purchased this to replace an old (coated) baking pan and rack that has started to peel and come off. I wanted something I could scrub, if it came to that. There were several stainless steel baking pans to choose from, but this was the only one with a stainless steel, uncoated rack; all the others had non-stick coatings on the racks, which will eventually start to peel off. Nice size and the rack holds roasts up out of the drippings easily

 I’ll only use it to roast meats so that doesn’t affect me in any way. But for that reason I’ll be giving it 4 stars instead of 5. Expected better quality for what I paid.

Good but flawed.

I've looked over a bunch of candidates, and at this price point ($31.57 when I bought it a couple of days ago, now, inexplicably, $47.99) this is by far the most robust design of the lot: not as capacious as some (I just cooked a 6 pound chicken, could probably have squeezed a 9 or 10 pounder onto the rack) much more expensive competitors, but it's heavy, built like a tank, and unlike some other, cheap roasting pans, the edges are all rolled, so they're not going to cut you.  As some other reviewers have noted, too, visually this is just a gorgeous set of cooking equipment

Very robust pan and rack for the price.

  The size is perfect for my small family. If you are in the habit of feeding an army it might not be large enough for a truly epic turkey. I've cooked a 16 pound bird and there was room to spare, so it is perfect for my use.  

This is a well-made roaster.  Definitely worthy of five stars.
