 Our cursor has given 4000d what they termed the rapid route cable management system. This really neat feature includes the cavity, some brackets and included cable ties, and this just makes the whole job of arranging the cables within your system just so much easier and for me, the cable management is a highlight for this case, and corsair has also provided a Concealment bar for slipping those cables through into the main section there isn't any need for those rubber, grommets or cutouts. If you do want to make use of that eatx form factor, then that bar can be adjusted to entertain that for water cooling, we have numerous spots to install different size. Radiators the front allows for 360 and 280 millimeter

 Please check out that link in the description right, guys we're going to start at the front of 4000 d, and you can see we have a sharp, looking front section which is sleek and rather than opting for a plastic panel as most manufacturers do we have this Solid steel, single piece which looks and feels extremely durable - you can see the finish on that panel - has more of a matte texture and does actually feel a little bit rough now. Obviously this is a closed panel and therefore it is necessary to have some form of ventilation down the sides and, as such, there is a small gap that runs down either side, whether that is sufficient for cooling will be revealed in our web review. This panel simply pulls off the chassis from the top and the bottom and the mechanism that corsa has employed here uses metal studs and it works surprisingly well

Corsair 4000D Review

5-inch drives. You also get a fan controller set behind the motherboard mounting tray. The two Corsair fans provided are wired into this controller box.

The two sides of the chassis aren't quite as friendly in the airflow department. The right panel is a solid sheet of steel, and the left panel is tempered glass, without any cut-throughs for air to flow in or out on either side. This shouldn't hamper cooling much, however, due to the abundance of ventilation elsewhere and the front-to-back design.

None of this is to say that you can't add a liquid cooler to the top of the case, but it would probably be a better idea to mount the cooler in the front of the case instead. If you do choose to mount it on the top, you should add it last, after you get the motherboard fully installed and rigged. Later tweaks might mandate removing the radiator.

Though it has a few limitations, Corsair's 4000D Airflow is overall a fine budget-to-midrange case. Building an uncomplicated air-cooled system inside it was mostly free of hurdles. The case may not be the most original of designs, but it does look nice when kitted out with a full complement of components and RGB lights. (Three front-panel RGB or ring-style fans would really shine

 In addition to airflow, where front panel is the filter, cases like the cooler master, td500 mesh and fantax p400a have an advantage since fans and radiators only fit on the inside of the case that limits combined radiator fan thickness at the level of the power splash route. To six centimeters at the absolute most, but we recommend against installing radiators down there at all. There is absolutely not enough room to mount a 360 millimeter clc and fans properly with the tube side down at the front of the case or even a 280. Since the front, i o occupies a few key millimeters of space that would be needed for the radiator, the largest clc the case can truly support is a single 280 millimeter unit at the top, or you could run tubes at the top in the front if you're, Okay, with dealing with some trickling water feature, sound effects, note that this only really applies to clcs or aios

 Meanwhile, the lancole 215 easily tops this chart at 43 degrees moving to gpu temperatures, the 4000d averaged 56 degrees and the 4000d airflow averaged 50 degrees. The 4000d lags behind here with the td500 and its mismatched intake arrangement scoring a much better 47 degrees, while the landcarl 215 averaged 54 degrees better than the 4000 d worse than the airflow. The airflow's design performs, on the same level as fantax p series airflow cases when the same fans are used. One benefit of the limited 1300 rpm stock fans is that they're fairly quiet with the case fans at 100 speed

 It there's a place for cases with solid front panels and some of them execute it. Well, this one does not, as you saw in our noise normalized testing, we proved the point that even with this one you're not even really helping with noise, you can in fact run this one quieter and get the same performance as the non-airflow version. So it doesn't benefit there. Type of noise is always something to think about where you, you start talking about, adding in a bunch of foam pads like be quiet, does where now you're, just trying to break apart the shorter wavelength waves into tinier pieces and kill them before they escape the case And you deal with things like higher frequencies, a lot better with those really foam insulated cases, but that's not what the 4000 d9 airflow is

 So a lot of attention to detail there corsair gets huge credit for it and it greatly bolsters the aesthetics argument when the case is in that good enough performance territory that you're it's a toss-up between other features, so size would be another one. This is a bit of a stout case, so that may be something to think about as well and on that nzxt h510 note, if you do want to look at that one as another like crisp color scheme, as patrick frase did uh the h510 specifically is the One we're talking about not the h510 elite. The h510 elite is an aquarium where gpus go to die, so don't buy that one we're happy to see corsair, offering more airflow oriented cases. The 220t airflow is sort of the first step in this direction in recent history and we'd even have here

Corsair 4000D Airflow Case Review vs. Solid Panel: Thermals, Noise, & Quality

 I'm adding another star to my review for the gesture, and once I receive a working replacement, I will update the review again.  Update 2: I finally received a working replacement fan two days ago. Kudos to Corsair for ultimately doing the right thing; adding another star to the review. I can't urge the importance of putting the customer first, though, this never should have essentially required a public display of dissatisfaction to get taken care of

Update: The day this review was published, Corsair customer service reached out to me letting me know that they would be sending out a replacement fan. I'm adding another star to my review for the gesture, and once I receive a working replacement, I will update the review again.  Update 2: I finally received a working replacement fan two days ago

  The case came with a bricked chassis fan, which I temporarily have an old cooler master fan standing in for. Anyway, I threw out the brick, and got around to filing a customer support claim with Corsair, and they are standing firm on the fact that since I don't have the broken part to send back to them, they won't send me a replacement. Unreal. Is this really how you treat loyal customers?  Update: The day this review was published, Corsair customer service reached out to me letting me know that they would be sending out a replacement fan

 At least in this case they do. Now when I remove the front panel and dust filters in the fan normalized test the maximum CPU temperature hit 52C. Which indicates that the front panel and dust filters are not restricting the airflow to the CPU in any meaningful way. Now when comparing the stock CPU temperature of the 4000D Airflow to the other cases I've tested it lands pretty much right in the middle of the list and when comparing the CPU temperature in the fan normalized testing the 4000D Airflow again performed pretty well

 This panel can be easily removed by pulling the top and bottom of the panel away from the chassis, taking a closer look at the panel. There is no dust filter on the panel, and the triangle-shaped ventilation holes on the panel are well sized, so they shouldn't restrict airflow. Now the front dust filter is still on the chassis, it is held in by magnets, so removing it to clean it is really easy. The gray surround on the front can also be easily removed by unscrewing two screws on the bottom of the case

There are 3 sets of SKU’s in Corsair’s 4000 series line up. There is the 4000D, the 4000D airflow and the Icue 4000x RGB. Each SKU comes in both black and white. I’ll be taking a look at the white version of the 4000d Airflow, so let's take a look.
