 The 270R cools adequately on all fronts, and is relatively quiet even at its higher RPMs. There's a good chance that your components will be louder anyway, and it's also easy to build in, which is one of the most important things with a cheap case, other than the small gripes with expansion slot screws. NDX T does a better job with Kailh management, and it's $70 S340 and $100 S340 Elite than both of these, but Corsair's case does better with cooling, so to each their own advantages. And then for the harder one to review, the 570X, I'm not sure what to think of it really from an aesthetic standpoint, I normally stick to testing and data, it's a lot easier for me to work with, but this is the kind of thing where you've got to look at it and decide for yourself

 Those are the new cases. And for the run-through, we're starting with the Corsair Radeon 570X, which is a comment that will probably confuse someone next year when the 570 exists. In this custom animation that Gamers Nexus made, we're showing an explosion of the 570X's tooling and paneling. The left, right, and front center panels are all made of tempered glass measuring 4mm thick, all attached to the chassis structure with 4 thumbscrews per panel

 Corsair today is launching two new cases, the $180 570X Crystal with tempered glass paneling and RGB LED fans on a multifunction controller, and the 270R, a mid-tower for $70 or $60 without the window. This review contains thermal benchmarking at various RPMs, DBA noise level testing, and our new ambient case temp metric alongside the usual ease of installation and quality review. And that's for both cases. Before getting to that, this coverage is brought to you by AMD's RX 470 video card, which we've declared to be the best-priced performance value in the less than $200 video card market

Don't install your AIO incorrectly!

 While I appreciate the shroud that came with the case, the screws are tiny and screwed TIGHT. I could never get them to pop, and so I had to play an awful game of running my power cables through the small outlet and shoving my PSU in against crazy resistance. By some miracle I managed to do it, but at this point, I was already missing the space of my full tower.  The space constraints don't end there

  Let's get this out of the way: this is *the* best looking case I've ever seen. Pulling it out of the box and gazing at the beautiful tempered glass and frost white metal is jaw-dropping. If you are looking for something to flex with, you can't get better than this case. It is just as beautiful as you think it is

 In hindsight, the pictures made it very clear that this would never have worked, so I can't hold it against the product. That said, my issues lie elsewhere.  Let's get this out of the way: this is *the* best looking case I've ever seen. Pulling it out of the box and gazing at the beautiful tempered glass and frost white metal is jaw-dropping

Aesthetics Over Functionality

 So if it's not obvious already, this case is definitely designed for somebody who wants to have a good look at everything going on inside their computer, not just from the side, but also from the other side where the cable management goes, even from up on top, and of course from the front. So let's quickly run down the features, why don't we start with dust filters, since they're covering things right now, these are pretty easy to pop off, at least once you remove the four screws for the tempered glass side panels, these are just held on by magnets, and look at that, full coverage right there, with plenty of space for the air to flow through, and then behind it the three 120mm fans, we'll come back to those in just a moment. This top also removes, again, just with magnets, like so, so full coverage with dust filtration for the top, and then we do have a dust filter down on the bottom, it is a little bit more standard style, at least from what we've seen in the past, it slides out from the back, and a bit smaller one there for your power supply. Back to those fans up front though, it comes with three 120mm fans included, and these are all RGB, which I'm sure I will demonstrate once I get this case actually set up with the system inside and able to power on and everything, they're all in the front, so you actually don't get any, at least pre-installed, exhaust or filtration for the rear or the top of this case, but you do have lots of radiator support, so you can do a 360 in the front, you can do a 280 in the front, of course you could do a 240 or 120 or anything less than those max radiator sizes, you can also do a 280 or 240 in the top, or a 120 of course, and then you got a 120 mount here at the back as well

 What's up guys, welcome back to Paul's Hardware Corsair, sent me over this brand new case to do a video on, so it is called the Crystal Series 570X, it is a completely tempered glass covered case, a trend that I'm going to take complete responsibility for since I did my tempered glass side panel mod with Arctic Panther, but I figured what better way to go over this case for you guys than to, well, take it out of the box first of all, I'll run down the features, and I'll go ahead and build the system in it, I've got all the parts for that right back here, and then we'll come back, and I'll give you my thoughts. Alright, so I have removed all of the tempered glass side panels from this case, I was originally going to show you guys a first look of it with nothing mounted inside, but then I realized all those tempered glass pieces, which were over on the table there, all have the plastic on them, and I was going to peel all that off and stuff, but I decided no, let me wait on doing that and build the system first, because even though tempered glass is a lot sturdier than plexi, it's still best to kind of keep that stuff on, but there are four tempered glass panels, one for each side, one for the top, and one for the front, and they are all held on by these little screws right here, which are pretty good quality, and look pretty nice from the outside, also of course you get a pack of accessories in the box. Building a PC in the Corsair 570X Tempered Glass Case

Great case, but quality control could be improved on for the price point.

 They claimed that they had a new case for me, something that would win me over from the Evolve TG, the Corsair 570X. That was a big statement. I love the Evolve TG. But they seemed genuinely confident, so I decided to give them a chance

 Remember, I'm being hard on the case out of love. The power button LED doesn't sync with what the fans are doing, it's just a static white LED, and the same, more importantly, goes with the Corsair logo LED on the side of the power supply basement. It's not a huge deal, but still. If they had all synced together through Corsair's RGB controller, it would have added an extra layer of polish, which would have been very nice

 I'm trying to hide the cable nest, man, not show it off. Again, this is out of love, but where's the optional cover piece that I could screw in from the kind of top here? Most people probably won't have anything to the right of the motherboard. There are no drive mounts or anything like that, and if you're not doing custom water cooling, then it's probably an empty space because you'll put your AIO in the top. It manages up to six fans, the three included SP120 RGB fans in the front and up to three more SP120 RGB fans

 The hub runs up to a control box that for most people will do nothing, since pressing buttons on the top is a lot easier than taking off a glass panel just to adjust the mode or color or speed of your fans, but it can function standalone if you take the top panel off for some reason. Then we have the hard drive trays. Corsair opted to have them sort of upside down, that is showing the bottom of the drive. This will make them easier to install and make it so that your SATA cables don't have to squish against the wall, but it will also leave you probably showing off a green PCB that, now I'm guessing here, probably doesn't go along with the aesthetic of your build, especially if you're getting a glass case

Good case, has some annoying features

 If you're looking for a case where somebody walks into the room and they start walking and they look over and they see your computer on the desk and you want their eyes to bug out going, whoa, look at that. This will do that more than any other case that I reviewed. It really is stunningly gorgeous, but it's not for everyone. If it's not for you, what would I consider buying? If you want this quality, if you want the SSD mounts on the back, the removable drive trays, if you want the good power supply, if you want the dust filters, if you want quality included fans and all the fan and mounting locations, but you don't care about glass and you don't care about RGB, Corsair's Obsidian 450D mid-tower case is a premium case with premium parts and almost everything this case has minus the glass and minus the RGB

 The Crystal 570X is the larger of two cases from Corsair. They also make the 460X, which I will link down in the video description below. It's basically a smaller version of this case. Now which one you choose is going to be a personal preference, but I do think that if you want to build a higher-end system, if you have the room, the 570X is ultimately the case that's going to give you more expansion options for the future

 Now it does have expandability to up to six fans, which is excellent because this case has room to mount three more. Two on the top, either 120 or 140 millimeter, and then one in the back as an exhaust or intake, depending upon how you're setting up your system. That is a 120 millimeter fan mount location. Corsair sells both sizes, so if you want to buy additional RGB fans, there's a place to plug them in, and the included controller, which there are buttons right here on the top

 I already mentioned the three RGB fans up front. Those are 120 millimeter SP120 RGB fans from Corsair. Those do come pre-installed in the case, and they are connected to a RGB controller, which is actually pre-installed here in the back of the machine. You can't see it, but it's actually inside there
