 Maybe they had a shipping issue or something like that. We don't know, but it's using adhesive to secure the panel to the front, which seems insane. So there are a lot of things that could be improved with this case. Overall though, just to be clear, we do like the overall look of it, we like the build quality of it, cable management is trivial because it's so large, and it gives you a lot of options, which cases of a small-ish form factor don't necessarily do, and also cases of a small-ish form factor don't exist in many of the higher quality tiers of cases

 For this case, we use our ITX test bench for imperfect testing of something that wouldn't accommodate our ATX bench, although we are considering adding a micro ATX test bench for the onslaught of cases due out later this year. In the meantime, consider this a study on airflow using an ITX test bench, useful for basic concepts with the 280x, although you should ultimately use it for micro ATX if you're going that route. I think the most disappointing was the corsair crystal 280x; for a mini-itx system it would probably be fine, but for micro-atx (as it's advertised for) it's pretty cramped and the glass panels impact temperatures more than I was willing to accept. To the cases credit it was pretty though.

Fan RGB quit working

 While playing games in CSGO we saw a max DB of under 50 DB I think it was like 46 to 47 so it was really good so people who are noise fanatics will be happy with this case. So after the temperatures where we had about 200 watts being dumped in the case while we're playing Counter-Strike it did do very well but the ease of the build was so straightforward I mean for a micro ATX size case this was doing really well you can just install everything with ease there's no sharp edges cable management at the back is phenomenal. If you are a beginner and you've just got cables everywhere you can just stuff them in in this and you'll still get a good look at the front. So Corsair have really got their simplicity down pat with the Air 280X

Now of course as I said in the intro I do much prefer the black version over the white version they do come in at the same price we're talking 170 USD roughly. You get two light loop 120 mil fans and also the no controller Pro and the hub there's also the non RGB version which set you back around 110 US you get two SP120s and no controllers so it does save you a little bit of money but you don't get that RGB effect on either the fans or the control and that about wraps up the review for the Crystal 280X and it's a really nice looking case I do prefer the black version over the white version and you do get those two LL fans included which I would recommend relocating the top fan straight to the front and then installing the IQ software and customizing that to your setup

It's also coming in at 170 USD does include the controller and the hub you can get the non RGB version as I said before for 110 I'd probably go for the RGB version if you can stretch it those LL fans are amazing they look good very quiet and they also have functionality to go with it too and in this build we did use some used price performance as well hope you guys were digging that H55 and also that DDR3 as well as that 1060 that we picked up for a bargain and of course if you were digging it then be sure to hit that like button and I'll catch you guys in another tech video very soon.

Corsair Crystal 280X Review - I Can't Believe What We're Seeing?

My All White Build

  After carefully reading reviews online, I decided to use a Mini-ITX motherboard (ASUS ROG Strix B450-I). Thankfully I did. If you look closely in the pictures, you can see that with a Mini-ITX mobo, there is just enough clearance for the bottom fans and the case cable holes were clearly designed for Mini-ITX. A mATX board would be far too cramped in this case

 Air cooling or using an 8700K may be a problem though as the fans do have to work harder to move air with the panels on.  Cable management can be bit of an issue too depending on your build. The holes provided were great, but I ended up routing all the CPU-related wires through the upper left corner, and the GPU wires hard to be routed over the GPU instead of under to avoid the wires touching the bottom fan. However, some of the messiness you see by the GPU is due to the mobo design as the HD audio pins were all the way in the bottom left corner by the GPU

 If you can get it to work, you will probably worry about leaks given the tight fit. Anyway, as such I decided to put the ML140 fan and one LL120 fan on the bottom for intake, the H110i on top for exhaust, the two LL140 fans in front for intake, and one LL120 fan in the back for exhaust to help keep that area from getting too hot. With this set up, my CPU (2700x @ 4.2 GHz) maxed out at 35

5 C and my GPU at 65 C with GTA V on max settings for 2 hours--with the tempered glass panels on. This was in CA with an ambient room temp of around 72 F. Air cooling or using an 8700K may be a problem though as the fans do have to work harder to move air with the panels on.  Cable management can be bit of an issue too depending on your build

GREAT for Mini-ITX, not so great for mATX

 That to me means it's more of an open system. And if they could just close that off, to seal it off so that you had better options with, you know, dust not being able to get in, and not pretty much needing every single one of your fans sucking inwards so that all of the air kind of blows out of it again, like with the 570X. And I think if Corsair could kind of move to that kind of way and take a step forward with that sort of thing, I think it could end up working kind of much better for them. That is until I go to Comutex and they tell me why they always do it this way, which is pretty much what happened when I went to CES

 So we always start at the front and the top, and the 280X will be no different. So you can see I've got it lit up, so you can see you get a white power button, or a white LED power button at the top. You've got your reset switch, headphone microphone, and then you get a pair of USB 3s. You can also see as I kind of spin it round, that you do get these thumb screws to remove the top panel, and there is a dust filter underneath here, if you're going to use it as an intake

 So this you've got the slotted design. There is for a sort of a flat head screwdriver, but you do get a set of slightly thinner Allen headed bolts with the case as well, which I thought was a really nice touch. So the case in white, I think kind of works quite well, because there is a very kind of understated design to the right hand side. This is the back half of the case

 It's a classic kind of design, this side. We love the idea of the bottom because this for if you're a budding water cooler could really open some interesting concepts for you with this. But other than that, I think it does look rather nice. So it's a cracking little small form factor-ish case

Corsair 280X MATX Cube Case Review

How much of a Corsair fanboy are you?

 It was not the easiest to build in because of the small size but that's just the nature of the beast. The radiators cover most of the fan real estate so the 140mm fan in the front top and the 2 80mm noctuah fans i added myself in the rear being the only true case fans, I was pleasantly surprised when the average temperature was only 12 degrees C over ambient at idle and only 37 degrees C over ambient (average of all temp sensors on motherboard and a few of my own) under HEAVY load stress tests. This is with an overclocked 2080ti and a heavily overclocked ryzen 2600.

 This is my only major complaint.  Unless you're building a mini ITX, instead of a micro ATX PC, you will not use the bottom area for fans. You just wont, trust me.  Lastly, the included led controller is

 Not only does the case not come with these fans (I recommend noctua 80mm pwm redux edition) that you really need, it does not have mounting holes or slots for them when there is more than enough room for them, like I said I have them installed in mine. The only reason I can think of for this clear blunder is because corsair DOES NOT MAKE 80mm fans. So unfortunately, you're limited to non RGB ones if you want your case to be consistent with rgb quality. They could have at least provided mounting holes/slots though

Almost perfect, ZERO wasted space.

 For those wondering about ventilation the tempered glass panel actually sits off of the case a little bit and you have intakes on the left side of the case. The front of the case easily pulls off to reveal a magnetic filter. Once the filter is removed we can see the two included Corsair LL120 RGB fans. These fans have 16 individually controlled RGB LEDs inside and for those wondering up front you can fit two 120 millimeter fans or two 140 millimeter fans or if you're going the water cooling route you can fit radiators up to 280 millimeters

 It is held into place by four thumb screws. The opposite side panel of the case is plain but does have a ventilated section towards the bottom. This ventilated section has a magnetic removable filter and there's room down there for a single 120 or 140 millimeter fan to keep the back section of the case cool. Coming to the back of the case we can see how this case is designed as a dual chamber case

 If you want to go water cooling you can go that way. If you just want to deck this thing out with fans you can go that way as well and I like the prices. So the normal one without the RGB fans is $109.99 and the one with the two included RGB fans which you see up there is $159

 The three tempered glass side panels are awesome and they're easy to remove and work with. There's tons of cooling options in this case as well. If you want to go water cooling you can go that way. If you just want to deck this thing out with fans you can go that way as well and I like the prices
